| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:74] | Thumma qasat quloobukum min baAAdi thalikafahiya kaalhijarati aw ashaddu qaswatanwa-inna mina alhijarati lama yatafajjaruminhu al-anharu wa-inna minha lamayashshaqqaqu fayakhruju minhu almao wa-inna minhalama yahbitu min khashyati Allahi wamaAllahu bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona
|  ثم قست قلوبكم من بعد ذلك فهي كالحجارة أو أشد قسوة وإن من الحجارة لما يتفجر منه الأنهار وإن منها لما يشقق فيخرج منه الماء وإن منها لما يهبط من خشية الله وما الله بغافل عما تعملون
ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُم مِّنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الأَنْهَارُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءُ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللّهِ وَمَا اللّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ |
| Words | |ثم - Then| قست - hardened| قلوبكم - your hearts| من - from| بعد - after| ذلك - that| فهي - so they| كالحجارة - (became) like [the] stones| أو - or| أشد - stronger| قسوة - (in) hardness.| وإن - And indeed,| من - from| الحجارة - the stones| لما - certainly (there are some) which| يتفجر - gush forth| منه - from it| الأنهار - [the] rivers,| وإن - and indeed,| منها - from them| لما - certainly (there are some) which| يشقق - split,| فيخرج - so comes out| منه - from it| الماء - [the] water,| وإن - and indeed,| منها - from them| لما - certainly (there are some) which| يهبط - fall down| من - from| خشية - fear| الله - (of) Allah.| وما - And not| الله - (is) Allah| بغافل - unaware| عما - of what| تعملون - you do.| |

| ከዚያም ከዚህ በኋላ ልቦቻችሁ ደረቁ፤ እርሷም እንደ ድንጋዮች ወይም በድርቅና ይበልጥ የበረታች ናት፡፡ ከድንጋዮችም ከርሱ ጂረቶች የሚፈሱለት አልለ፡፡ ከነርሱም በእርግጥ የሚሰነጠቅና ከርሱ ውሃ (ምንጭ) የሚወጣው አልለ፡፡ ከነርሱም አላህን ከመፍራት የተነሳ ወደ ታች የሚወርድ አልለ፡፡ አላህም ከምትሠሩት ነገር ዘንጊ አይደለም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ثم قست قلوبكم } أيها اليهود صلبت عن قبول الحق { من بعد ذلك } المذكور من إحياء القتيل وما قبله من الآيات { فهي كالحجارة } في القسوة { أو أشد قسوة } منها { وإن من الحجارة لما يتفجَّر منه الأنهار وإن منها لما يشقق } فيه إدغام التاء في الأصل في الشين { فيخرج منه الماء وإن منها لما يهبط } ينزل من علو إلى أسفل { من خشية الله } وقلوبكم لا تتأثر ولا تلين ولا تخشع { وما الله بغافل عما تعلمون } وإنما يؤخركم لوقتكم وفي قراءة بالتحتانية وفيه التفات عن الخطاب. |
| Sinna, deffir waya, qquôen wulawen nnwen; cuban aéôu, ne$ kteô, di ta$eôt. Ih, llan iéôa iseg d pfeggiven isaffen. Llan, s tidep, wid ipceqqiqen, teff$en d waman segsen. S tidep, llan wid i$ellin si tugwdi n Öebbi. Ur I$fil Öebbi $ef wayen txeddmem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর এ ঘটনার পরে তোমাদের অন্তর কঠিন হয়ে গেছে। তা পাথরের মত অথবা তদপেক্ষাও কঠিন। পাথরের মধ্যে এমন ও আছে; যা থেকে ঝরণা প্রবাহিত হয়, এমনও আছে, যা বিদীর্ণ হয়, অতঃপর তা থেকে পানি নির্গত হয় এবং এমনও আছে, যা আল্লাহর ভয়ে খসেপড়তে থাকে! আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজকর্ম সম্পর্কে বে-খবর নন। |
| Literal | Then your hearts/minds became cruel/merciless from after that, so it is as the stones or stronger cruelty/mercilessness, and that from the stones (E) what the rivers bursts/flows from it and that from it (E) what splits/cracks so the water comes out of it, and that from it (E) what drops/reduces from God's fear, andGod (is) not with ignoring/disregarding from what you are doing/making. |
| Yusuf Ali | Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do. |

For indeed there are rocks from out which rivers gush, and indeed there are rocks which split asunder so that water floweth from them. | Senkin jälkeen paatuivat sydämenne ja tulivat kivikoviksi, jopa kiveäkin kovemmaksi, sillä kivien joukossa on totisesti sellaisia, joista purot kohisevat esiin, sellaisia, jotka halkeavat, niin että vesi virtaa niistä, ja sellaisia, jotka Jumalan edessä syöksyvät maahan pelosta. | Shabbir Ahmed | پھر سخت ہوگئے تمہارے دل، ایسی نشانیاں دیکھنے کے بعد بھی، گویا کہ وہ پتّھر ہیں یا زیادہ سخت (پتّھر سے بھی) اور بیشک پتھروں میں تو ایسے بھی ہیں کہ پھوٹ بہتی ہیں جن میں سے نہریں اور ان میں ایسے بھی ہیں جو پھٹ جاتے ہیں اور نکلتا ہے ان میں سے پانی۔ اور ان میں تو ایسے بھی ہیں جو گرپڑتے ہیں اللہ کے خوف سے۔ اور نہیں ہے اللہ بے خبر اس سے جو تم کرتے ہو۔ |
