بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [11:44] | Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maakiwaya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almaowaqudiya al-amru waistawat AAala aljoodiyyiwaqeela buAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena
| وقيل يا أرض ابلعي ماءك ويا سماء أقلعي وغيض الماء وقضي الأمر واستوت على الجودي وقيل بعدا للقوم الظالمين وَقِيلَ يَا أَرْضُ ابْلَعِي مَاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَاءُ أَقْلِعِي وَغِيضَ الْمَاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ وَقِيلَ بُعْداً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ |
Words | |وقيل - And it was said,| يا - O| أرض - "O earth!| ابلعي - Swallow| ماءك - your water,| ويا - And O| سماء - Withhold."| أقلعي - And subsided| وغيض - the water,| الماء - and was fulfilled| وقضي - the Command.| الأمر - And it rested| واستوت - on| على - the Judi.| الجودي - And it was said,| وقيل - "Away| بعدا - with the people| للقوم - the wrongdoers."| |

| ተባለም፡- «ምድር ሆይ! ውሃሽን ዋጪ፡፡ ሰማይም ሆይ (ዝናብሽን) ያዢ፡፡ ውሃውም ሰረገ፡፡ ቅጣቱም ተፈጸም፡፡ ጁዲይ በሚባልም ተራራ ላይ (መርከቢቱ) ተደላደለች፡፡ ለከሓዲዎችም ሰዎች ጥፋት ተገባቸው (ጠፉ)» ተባለ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وقيل يا أرض ابلعي ماءك } الذي نبع منك فشربته دون ما نزل من السماء فصار أنهارا وبحارا { ويا سماء أقلعي } أمسكي عن المطر فأمسكت { وغيض } نقص { الماء وقضي الأمر } تم أمر هلاك قوم نوح { واستوت } وقفت السفينة { على الجودِي } جبل بالجزيرة بقرب الموصل { وقيل بُعدا } هلاكا { للقوم الظالمين } الكافرين . |
| Nnan: "a tamurt, seblaâ aman im, a yigenni eûûfu". Aman zzren. Iûaô lameô: irs $ef Loudi. Iffe$ uberraê: akin agdud imednas! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর নির্দেশ দেয়া হল-হে পৃথিবী! তোমার পানি গিলে ফেল, আর হে আকাশ, ক্ষান্ত হও। আর পানি হ্রাস করা হল এবং কাজ শেষ হয়ে গেল, আর জুদী পর্বতে নৌকা ভিড়ল এবং ঘোষনা করা হল, দুরাত্না কাফেররা নিপাত যাক। |
Literal | And (it) was said: "You earth/Planet Earth/land swallow your water, and you sky/space cease/stop/clear up ."And the water reduced/receded , and the matter/affair/order/command was accomplished/carried out, and it straightened/leveled on the Joody , and was said: "Curse to the nation the unjust/oppressive." |
Yusuf Ali | Then the word went forth: "O earth! swallow up thy water, and O sky! Withhold (thy rain)!" and the water abated, and the matter was ended. The Ark rested on Mount Judi, and the word went forth: "Away with those who do wrong!" |
Pickthal | And it was said: O earth! Swallow thy water and, O sky! be cleared of clouds! And the water was made to subside. And the commandment was fulfilled. And it (the ship) came to rest upon (the mount) Al-Judi and it was said: A far removal for wrongdoing folk! |
Arberry | And it was said, 'Earth, swallow thy waters; and, heaven, abate!' And the waters subsided, the affair was accomplished, and the Ark settled on El-Judi, and it was said: 'Away with the people of the evildoers!' |
Shakir | And it was said: O earth, swallow down your water, and O cloud, clear away; and the water was made to abate and the affair was decided, and the ark rested on the Judi, and it was said: Away with the unjust people. |
Sarwar | Then the earth was told to swallow-up its water and the sky was ordered to stop raining. The water abated and God's command had been fulfilled. The Ark came to rest on Mount Judi. A voice said, "The unjust people are far away from the mercy of God." |

Malik | Finally, Allah said: "O earth! Swallow up your water," and "O sky! Cease your rain." The floodwater abated and the judgement was carried out. The ark rested on Mount Al-Judi and it was said: "Gone are the wrongdoing people!"[44] |
