| 1 [2:96] | Walatajidannahum ahrasa alnnasiAAala hayatin wamina allatheenaashrakoo yawaddu ahaduhum law yuAAammaru alfa sanatin wamahuwa bimuzahzihihi mina alAAathabi anyuAAammara waAllahu baseerun bimayaAAmaloona |  ولتجدنهم أحرص الناس على حياة ومن الذين أشركوا يود أحدهم لو يعمر ألف سنة وما هو بمزحزحه من العذاب أن يعمر والله بصير بما يعملونوَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَنْ يُّعَمَّرَ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولتجدنهم - And surely you will find them| أحرص - (the) most greedy| الناس - (of) [the] mankind| على - for| حياة - life,| ومن - and (greedier) than| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate[d] partners (with Allah).| يود - Loves| أحدهم - (each) one of them| لو - if| يعمر - he could be granted a life| ألف - (of) a thousand| سنة - year(s).| وما - But not| هو - it| بمزحزحه - (will) remove him| من - from| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| يعمر - he should be granted life.| والله - And Allah| بصير - (is) All-Seer| بما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:91] | Inna allatheena kafaroo wamatoowahum kuffarun falan yuqbala min ahadihim miloal-ardi thahaban walawi iftada bihi ola-ikalahum AAathabun aleemun wama lahum min nasireena | إن الذين كفروا وماتوا وهم كفار فلن يقبل من أحدهم ملء الأرض ذهبا ولو افتدى به أولئك لهم عذاب أليم وما لهم من ناصرين إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِم مِّلْءُ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا وَلَوِ افْتَدَى بِهِ أُوْلَـئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieve[d]| وماتوا - and died| وهم - while they| كفار - (are) disbelievers,| فلن - then never| يقبل - will be accepted| من - from| أحدهم - any one of them| ملء - full| الأرض - earth| ذهبا - (of) gold| ولو - [and] (even) if| افتدى - he offered as ransom| به - it.| أولئك - Those -| لهم - for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| أليم - painful| وما - and not| لهم - (will be) for them| من - any| ناصرين - helpers.| | ||||||
| 3 [4:18] | Walaysati alttawbatu lillatheenayaAAmaloona alssayyi-ati hatta ithahadara ahadahumu almawtu qala inneetubtu al-ana wala allatheena yamootoonawahum kuffarun ola-ika aAAtadna lahum AAathabanaleeman | وليست التوبة للذين يعملون السيئات حتى إذا حضر أحدهم الموت قال إني تبت الآن ولا الذين يموتون وهم كفار أولئك أعتدنا لهم عذابا أليما وَلَيْسَتِ التَّوْبَةُ لِلَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ حَتَّى إِذَا حَضَرَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ إِنِّي تُبْتُ الْآنَ وَلاَ الَّذِينَ يَمُوتُونَ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَـئِكَ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا | |||||
| Words | |وليست - And not| التوبة - (is) the acceptance of repentance| للذين - for those who| يعملون - do| السيئات - the evil deeds| حتى - until| إذا - when| حضر - approaches| أحدهم - one of them| الموت - [the] death,| قال - he says,| إني - "Indeed I| تبت - repent| الآن - now;"| ولا - and not| الذين - those who| يموتون - die| وهم - while they| كفار - (are) disbelievers.| أولئك - Those -| أعتدنا - We have prepared| لهم - for them| عذابا - a punishment| أليما - painful.| | ||||||
| 4 [16:58] | Wa-itha bushshira ahaduhum bialonthathalla wajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheemun | وإذا بشر أحدهم بالأنثى ظل وجهه مسودا وهو كظيم وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُمْ بِالْأُنثَى ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| بشر - is given good news| أحدهم - (to) one of them| بالأنثى - of a female,| ظل - turns| وجهه - his face| مسودا - dark| وهو - and he| كظيم - suppresses grief.| | ||||||
| 5 [23:99] | Hatta itha jaa ahadahumualmawtu qala rabbi irjiAAooni | حتى إذا جاء أحدهم الموت قال رب ارجعون حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ | |||||
| Words | |حتى - Until| إذا - when| جاء - comes| أحدهم - (to) one of them| الموت - the death| قال - he says,| رب - "My Lord!| ارجعون - Send me back| | ||||||
| 6 [24:6] | Waallatheena yarmoona azwajahumwalam yakun lahum shuhadao illa anfusuhum fashahadatuahadihim arbaAAu shahadatin biAllahiinnahu lamina alssadiqeena | والذين يرمون أزواجهم ولم يكن لهم شهداء إلا أنفسهم فشهادة أحدهم أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الصادقين وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلَّا أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those who| يرمون - accuse| أزواجهم - their spouses| ولم - and not| يكن - have| لهم - for them| شهداء - witnesses| إلا - except| أنفسهم - themselves,| فشهادة - then (the) testimony| أحدهم - (of) one of them| أربع - (is) four| شهادات - testimonies| بالله - by Allah,| إنه - that he| لمن - (is) surely of| الصادقين - the truthful.| | ||||||
| 7 [43:17] | Wa-itha bushshira ahaduhum bimadaraba lilrrahmani mathalan thallawajhuhu muswaddan wahuwa katheemun | وإذا بشر أحدهم بما ضرب للرحمن مثلا ظل وجهه مسودا وهو كظيم وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| بشر - is given good news,| أحدهم - (to) one of them,| بما - of what| ضرب - he sets up| للرحمن - for the Most Gracious| مثلا - (as) a likeness,| ظل - becomes| وجهه - his face| مسودا - dark| وهو - and he| كظيم - (is) filled with grief.| | ||||||
