| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:82] | Wama kana jawabaqawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoohum min qaryatikuminnahum onasun yatatahharoona
|  وما كان جواب قومه إلا أن قالوا أخرجوهم من قريتكم إنهم أناس يتطهرون
وَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ أَخْرِجُوهُم مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ |
| Words | |وما - And not| كان - was| جواب - (the) answer| قومه - (of) his people| إلا - except| أن - that| قالوا - they said,| أخرجوهم - "Drive them out| من - of| قريتكم - your town.| إنهم - Indeed, they| أناس - (are) people| يتطهرون - who keep themselves pure."| |

| የሕዝቦቹም መልስ « (ሎጥንና ተከታዮቹን) ከከተማችሁ አውጧቸው፡፡ እነሱ የሚጥራሩ ሰዎች ናቸውና» ማለት እንጂ ሌላ አልነበረም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما كان جواب قومه إلا أن قالوا أخرجوهم } أي لوطا وأتباعه { من قريتكم إنهم أناس يتطهرون } من أدبار الرجال . |
| Tiririt n ugdud is siwa nnan: "ssuff$et pen si temdint nnwen, nitni d imdanen issaramen tezdeg". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাঁর সম্প্রদায় এ ছাড়া কোন উত্তর দিল না যে, বের করে দাও এদেরকে শহর থেকে। এরা খুব সাধু থাকতে চায়। |
| Literal | And His nation's answer/replay was not except that they said: "Bring/drive them out from your village/urban city, that they truly are people purifying ." |
| Yusuf Ali | And his people gave no answer but this: they said, "Drive them out of your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!" |
| Pickthal | And the answer of his people was only that they said (one to another): Turn them out of your township. They are folk, forsooth, who keep pure. |
