| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:165] | Falamma nasoo ma thukkiroobihi anjayna allatheena yanhawna AAani alssoo-iwaakhathna allatheena thalamoobiAAathabin ba-eesin bima kanoo yafsuqoona
|  فلما نسوا ما ذكروا به أنجينا الذين ينهون عن السوء وأخذنا الذين ظلموا بعذاب بئيس بما كانوا يفسقون
فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ أَنجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ السُّوءِ وَأَخَذْنَا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ بِعَذَابٍ بَئِيسٍ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْسُقُونَ |
| Words | |فلما - So when| نسوا - they forgot| ما - what| ذكروا - they had been reminded| به - with [it],| أنجينا - We saved| الذين - those who| ينهون - forbade| عن - [from]| السوء - the evil,| وأخذنا - and We seized| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged| بعذاب - with a punishment| بئيس - wretched,| بما - because| كانوا - they were| يفسقون - defiantly disobeying.| |

| በእርሱም የተገሰጹበትን ነገር በተዉ ጊዜ እነዚያን ከክፉ የሚከለከሉትን አዳንን፤ እነዚያንም የበደሉትን ያምጹ በነበሩት ምክንያት በብርቱ ቅጣት ያዝናቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فما نسوا } تركوا { ما ذكِّروا } وعظوا { به } فلم يرجعوا { أنجينا الذين ينهوْن عن السوء وأخذنا الذين ظلموا } بالاعتداء { بعذابٍ بَئيس } شديد { بما كانوا يفسقون } . |
| Mi ppun ayen i$ef pwafekkôen, Nsellek wid itekksen ayen n dir, Nesâadda aâaqeb adiran $ef imednas, ilmend n wayen ssexsaôen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর যখন তারা সেসব বিষয় ভুলে গেল, যা তাদেরকে বোঝানো হয়েছিল, তখন আমি সেসব লোককে মুক্তি দান করলাম যারা মন্দ কাজ থেকে বারণ করত। আর পাকড়াও করলাম, গোনাহগারদেরকে নিকৃষ্ট আযাবের মাধ্যমে তাদের না-ফরমানীর দরুন। |
| Literal | So when they forgot what they were reminded with it, We saved/rescued those who forbid/prevent from the bad/evil/harm, and We took those who were unjust/oppressive with strong/severe torture because (of) what they were debauching . |
| Yusuf Ali | When they disregarded the warnings that had been given them, We rescued those who forbade Evil; but We visited the wrong-doers with a grievous punishment because they were given to transgression. |
| Pickthal | And when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We rescued those who forbade wrong, and visited those who did wrong with dreadful punishment because they were evil-livers. |
| Arberry | So, when they forgot that they were reminded of; We delivered those who were forbidding wickedness, and We seized the evildoers with evil chastisement for their ungodliness. |
