| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[7:136] | Faintaqamna minhum faaghraqnahumfee alyammi bi-annahum kaththaboo bi-ayatinawakanoo AAanha ghafileena
|  فانتقمنا منهم فأغرقناهم في اليم بأنهم كذبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين
فَانتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا غَافِلِينَ |
| Words | |فانتقمنا - So We took retribution| منهم - from them| فأغرقناهم - and We drowned them| في - in| اليم - the sea| بأنهم - because they| كذبوا - denied| بآياتنا - Our Signs,| وكانوا - and they were| عنها - to them| غافلين - heedless.| |

| እነርሱ በተዓምራታችን ስለአስተባበሉም ከእርሷ ዘንጊዎች ስለኾኑም፤ ከእነሱ ተበቀልን፡፡ በባሕርም ውስጥ አሰጠምናቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فانتقمنا منهم فأغرقناهم في اليمِّ } البحر الملح { بأنهم } بسبب أنهم { كذَّبوا بآياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين } لا يتدبرونها . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সুতরাং আমি তাদের কাছে থেকে বদলা নিয়ে নিলাম-বস্তুতঃ তাদেরকে সাগরে ডুবিয়ে দিলাম। কারণ, তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছিল আমার নিদর্শনসমূহকে এবং তৎপ্রতি অনীহা প্রদর্শন করেছিল। |
| Literal | So We revenged/punished from them, so We drowned/sunk them in the body of water (river/sea/lake) because they denied/falsified with Our verses/evidences , and they were from it ignoring/disregarding . |
