| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[51:44] | FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathat-humualssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona
|  فعتوا عن أمر ربهم فأخذتهم الصاعقة وهم ينظرون
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ |
| Words | |فعتوا - But they rebelled| عن - against| أمر - (the) Command| ربهم - (of) their Lord,| فأخذتهم - so seized them| الصاعقة - the thunderbolt| وهم - while they| ينظرون - were looking.| |

| ከጌታቸው ትዕዛዝም ኮሩ፡፡ እነርሱም እያዩ ጩኸት ያዘቻቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فعتوْا } تكبروا { عن أمر ربهم } أي عن امتثاله { فأخذتهم الصاعقة } بعد مضي الثلاثة أيام أي الصيحة المهلكة { وهم ينظرون } أي بالنهار . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল এবং তাদের প্রতি বজ্রঘাত হল এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা তা দেখেছিল। |
| Literal | So they become arrogant/disobedient from their Lord's order/command, so the death/destructive torture punished/took them, and (while) they are looking/watching . |
| Yusuf Ali | But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. |
