بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [47:8] | Waallatheena kafaroo fataAAsanlahum waadalla aAAmalahum
| والذين كفروا فتعسا لهم وأضل أعمالهم وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فَتَعْسًا لَّهُمْ وَأَضَلَّ أَعْمَالَهُمْ |
Words | |والذين - But those who| كفروا - disbelieve,| فتعسا - destruction (is)| لهم - for them,| وأضل - and He will cause to be lost| أعمالهم - their deeds.| |

| እነዚያም የካዱት ለእነርሱ ጥፋት ተገባቸው፡፡ ሥራዎቻቸውንም አጠፋባቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { والذين كفروا } من أهل مكة مبتدأ خبره تعسوا يدل عليه { فتعسا لهم } أي هلاكا وخيبة من الله { وأضل أعمالهم } عطف على تعسوا . |
| Wid ijehlen, ay amxix nnsen, ad weddôen igiten nnsen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর যারা কাফের, তাদের জন্যে আছে দুর্গতি এবং তিনি তাদের কর্ম বিনষ্ট করে দিবেন। |
Literal | And those who disbelieved, so destruction/harm (is) for them, and He misguided their deeds. |
Yusuf Ali | But those who reject (Allah),- for them is destruction, and (Allah) will render their deeds astray (from their mark). |
Pickthal | And those who disbelieve, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain. |
Arberry | But as for the unbelievers, ill chance shall befall them! He will send their works astray. |
Shakir | And (as for) those who disbelieve, for them is destruction and He has made their deeds ineffective. |
Sarwar | The fate of the disbelievers will be to stumble and their deeds will have no virtuous results; |
H/K/Saheeh | But those who disbelieve for them is misery, and He will waste their deeds. |
Malik | As for the unbelievers, they shall be consigned to perdition, and He will bring their deeds to nothing.[8] |
Maulana Ali** | And those who disbelieve, for them is destruction, and He will destroy their works. |
Free Minds | And those who rejected, for them is destruction; and He has misled their works. |
Qaribullah | But the unbelievers shall be the destroyed losers. He will bring their deeds to nothing. |
George Sale | But as for the infidels, let them perish; and their works shall God render vain. |
JM Rodwell | But as for the infidels, let them perish: and their works shall God bring to nought: |
Asad | but as for those who are bent on denying the truth, ill fortune awaits them, since He will let all their [good] deeds go to waste: |
Khalifa** | Those who disbelieve incur misery; He causes their works to be utterly in vain. |
Hilali/Khan** | But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), for them is destruction, and (Allah) will make their deeds vain. |
QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | And trip and fall on their face all those who journey through life in the darkness of Ignorance. And the Divine Law causes their actions to be lost. ('Ta'as' = Trip and fall on the face). |
