| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[42:31] | Wama antum bimuAAjizeena fee al-ardiwama lakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin walanaseerin
|  وما أنتم بمعجزين في الأرض وما لكم من دون الله من ولي ولا نصير
وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ |
| Words | |وما - And not| أنتم - you| بمعجزين - (can) escape| في - in| الأرض - the earth,| وما - and not| لكم - for you| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| نصير - any helper.| |

| እናንተም በምድር ውስጥ የምታቅቱ አይደላችሁም፡፡ ለእናንተም ከአላህ ሌላ ከዘመድም ከረዳትም ምንም የላችሁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما أنتم } يا مشركون { بمعجزين } الله هرباً { في الأرض } فتفوتوه { وما لكم من دون الله } أي غيره { من وليّ ولا نصير } يدفع عذابه عنكم . |
| Ur tezmirem a ppesfunngem di tmurt. Ur awen illi, war Öebbi, bab ne$ asettaô. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমরা পৃথিবীতে পলায়ন করে আল্লাহকে অক্ষম করতে পার না এবং আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন কার্যনির্বাহী নেই, সাহায্যকারীও নেই। |
| Literal | And you are not with disabling/frustrating in the earth/Planet Earth, and (there is) nothing for you from other than God from a guardian/ally, and nor (a) victorior/savior . |
| Yusuf Ali | Nor can ye frustrate (aught), (fleeing) through the earth; nor have ye, besides Allah, any one to protect or to help. |
| Pickthal | Ye cannot escape in the earth, for beside Allah ye have no protecting friend nor any helper. |
