| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[4:89] | Waddoo law takfuroona kama kafaroofatakoonoona sawaan fala tattakhithoo minhumawliyaa hatta yuhajiroo fee sabeeliAllahi fa-in tawallaw fakhuthoohum waoqtuloohumhaythu wajadtumoohum wala tattakhithoominhum waliyyan wala naseeran
|  ودوا لو تكفرون كما كفروا فتكونون سواء فلا تتخذوا منهم أولياء حتى يهاجروا في سبيل الله فإن تولوا فخذوهم واقتلوهم حيث وجدتموهم ولا تتخذوا منهم وليا ولا نصيرا
وَدُّواْ لَوْ تَكْفُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرُواْ فَتَكُونُونَ سَوَاءً فَلاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ مِنْهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ حَتَّى يُهَاجِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَخُذُوهُمْ وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّخِذُواْ مِنْهُمْ وَلِيًّا وَلاَ نَصِيرًا |
| Words | |ودوا - They wish| لو - if| تكفرون - you disbelieve| كما - as| كفروا - they disbelieved| فتكونون - and you would be| سواء - alike.| فلا - So (do) not| تتخذوا - take| منهم - from them| أولياء - allies| حتى - until| يهاجروا - they emigrate| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah.| فإن - But if| تولوا - they turn back,| فخذوهم - seize them| واقتلوهم - and kill them| حيث - wherever| وجدتموهم - you find them.| ولا - And (do) not| تتخذوا - take| منهم - from them| وليا - any ally| ولا - and not| نصيرا - any helper,| |

| (እነርሱ) እንደ ካዱ ብትክዱና እኩል ብትኾኑ ተመኙ! በአላህም ሃይማኖት እስከሚሰደዱ ድረስ ከነሱ ወዳጆችን አትያዙ፡፡ (ከእምነት) ቢያፈገፍጉም ያዙዋቸው፤ (ማርኩዋቸው)፡፡ ባገኛችሁበትም ስፍራ ግደሉዋቸው፡፡ ከእነሱም ወዳጅንና ረዳትን አትያዙ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ودُّوا } تمنوا { لو تكفرون كما كفروا فتكونون } أنتم وهم { سواء } في الكفر { فلا تتخذوا منهم أولياء } توالونهم وإن أظهروا الإيمان { حتى يهاجروا في سبيل الله } هجرة صحيحة تحقق إيمانهم { فإن تَوَلَّوْا } وأقاموا على ما هم عليه { فخذوهم } بالأسر { واقتلوهم حيث وجدتموهم ولا تتخذوا منهم وليا } توالونه { ولا نصيرا } تنتصرون به على عدوكم . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা চায় যে, তারা যেমন কাফের, তোমরাও তেমনি কাফের হয়ে যাও, যাতে তোমরা এবং তারা সব সমান হয়ে যাও। অতএব, তাদের মধ্যে কাউকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা আল্লাহর পথে হিজরত করে চলে আসে। অতঃপর যদি তারা বিমুখ হয়, তবে তাদেরকে পাকড়াও কর এবং যেখানে পাও হত্যা কর। তাদের মধ্যে কাউকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না এবং সাহায্যকারী বানিও না। |
| Literal | They wished/loved if you disbelieve, as they disbelieved, so you become equal/alike. So do not take from them allies , until they emigrate in God's sake, so if they turned away, so take/punish them and fight/kill them, where/when you found them, and do not take from them an ally , and nor a supporter/savior. |
| Yusuf Ali | They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden).
