| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[4:42] | Yawma-ithin yawaddu allatheenakafaroo waAAasawoo alrrasoola law tusawwabihimu al-ardu wala yaktumoona Allaha hadeethan
|  يومئذ يود الذين كفروا وعصوا الرسول لو تسوى بهم الأرض ولا يكتمون الله حديثا
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوَدُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَعَصَوُاْ الرَّسُولَ لَوْ تُسَوَّى بِهِمُ الْأَرْضُ وَلاَ يَكْتُمُونَ اللّهَ حَدِيثًا |
| Words | |يومئذ - (On) that Day| يود - will wish| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| وعصوا - and disobeyed| الرسول - the Messenger| لو - if| تسوى - was leveled| بهم - with them| الأرض - the earth| ولا - and not| يكتمون - they will (be able to) hide| الله - (from) Allah| حديثا - (any) statement.| |

| በዚያ ቀን እነዚያ የካዱትና መልክተኛውን ያልታዘዙት በእነሱ ምድር ብትደፋባቸው ይመኛሉ፡፡ ከአላህም ወሬን አይደብቁም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { يومئذ } يوم المجيء { يود الذين كفروا وعصوا الرَّسول لو } أي أن { تُسَوَّى } بالبناء للمفعول والفاعل مع حذف إحدى التاءين في الأصل ومع إدغامها في السين أي تتسوى { بهم الأرض } بأن يكونوا ترابا مثلها لعظم هوله كما في آية أخرى (ويقول الكافر يا ليتنى كنت ترابا) { ولا يكتمون الله حديثا } عما عملوه وفي وقت آخر يكتمونه ويقولون (والله ربِّنا ما كنا مشركين ) . |
| Assen, wid ijehlen u âuûan Nnbi, ad ssirmen a ten tesseblaâ tmurt. Ur teffren awal i Öebbi. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সেদিন কামনা করবে সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা কাফের হয়েছিল এবং রসূলের নাফরমানী করেছিল, যেন যমীনের সাথে মিশে যায়। কিন্তু গোপন করতে পারবে না আল্লাহর নিকট কোন বিষয়। |
| Literal | That day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger if the earth/Planet Earth be straightened with them, and they do not hide/conceal (from) God an information/speech. |

| Ahmed Raza Khan | اس دن تمنا کریں گے وہ جنہوں نے کفر کیا اور رسول کی نافرمانی کی کاش انہیں مٹی میں دبا کر زمین برابر کردی جائے، اور کوئی بات اللہ سے نہ چھپاسکیں گے |
