| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[39:51] | Faasabahum sayyi-atu makasaboo waallatheena thalamoo min haola-isayuseebuhum sayyi-atu ma kasaboo wamahum bimuAAjizeena
|  فأصابهم سيئات ما كسبوا والذين ظلموا من هؤلاء سيصيبهم سيئات ما كسبوا وما هم بمعجزين
فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ |
| Words | |فأصابهم - Then struck them| سيئات - (the) evils| ما - (of) what| كسبوا - they earned.| والذين - And those who| ظلموا - have wronged| من - of| هؤلاء - these,| سيصيبهم - will strike them| سيئات - (the) evils| ما - (of) what| كسبوا - they earned;| وما - and not| هم - they| بمعجزين - will be able to escape.| |

| የሠሩዋቸውም መጥፎዎች (ቅጣት) አገኛቸው፡፡ ከእነዚህም እነዚያ የበደሉት የሠሩዋቸው መጥፎዎች (ፍዳ) በእርግጥ ይነካቸዋል፡፡ እነርሱም አምላጮች አይደሉም፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فأصابهم سيئات ما كسبوا } أي جزاؤها { والذين ظلموا من هؤلاء } أي قريش { سيصيبهم سيئات ما كسبوا وما هم بمعجزين } بفائتين عذابنا فقحطوا سبع سنين ثم وسع عليهم . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের দুস্কর্ম তাদেরকে বিপদে ফেলেছে, এদের মধ্যেও যারা পাপী, তাদেরকেও অতি সত্ত্বর তাদের দুস্কর্ম বিপদে ফেলবে। তারা তা প্রতিহত করতে সক্ষম হবে না। |
| Literal | so struck/marked them sins/crimes (of) what they gained/acquired , and those who caused injustice/oppression from those, sins/crimes (of) what they gained/acquired will mark/strike them ,and they are not with disabling/frustrating. |
| Yusuf Ali | Nay, the evil results of their Deeds overtook them. And the wrong-doers of this (generation)- the evil results of their Deeds will soon overtake them (too), and they will never be able to frustrate (Our Plan)! |
| Pickthal | But the evils that they earned smote them; and such of these as do wrong, the evils that they earn will smite them; they cannot escape. |
| Arberry | in that the evils of that they earned smote them. The evildoers of these men, they too shall be smitten by the evils -- of that they earned; they will not be able to frustrate it. |
| Shakir | So there befell them the evil (consequences) of what they earned; and (as for) those who are unjust from among these, there shall befall them the evil (consequences) of what they earn, and they shall not escape. |
| Sarwar | They were afflicted by the terrible result of whatever they gained. Besides this affliction, the unjust among them will also suffer the consequence of their deeds. They will not be able to challenge God. |

| Malik | and the evil consequences of their deeds overtook them. Very soon, the wrongdoers among these people will also be overtaken by the evil consequences of their misdeeds and they will not be able to escape.[51] |

| Khalifa** | They suffered the consequences of their evil works. Similarly, the transgressors among the present generation will suffer the consequences of their evil works; they cannot escape. |
| Hilali/Khan** | So, the evil results of that which they earned overtook them. And those who did wrong of these (people to whom you (Muhammad SAW) have been sent), will also be overtaken by the evil results (torment) for that which they earned, and they will never be able to escape. |
