| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[37:56] | Qala taAllahi in kidtalaturdeeni
|  قال تالله إن كدت لتردين
قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ |
| Words | |قال - He (will) say,| تالله - "By Allah,| إن - verily,| كدت - you almost| لتردين - ruined me.| |

| ይላል «በአላህ እምላለሁ፤ በእርግጥ ልታጠፋኝ ቀርበህ ነበር፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قال } له تشميتا { تالله إن } مخففة من الثقيلة { كدت } قاربت { لتردين } لتهلكني بإغوائك . |
| Inna d: "s Öebbi, ar qôib iyi tessôuêev! |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | সে বলবে, আল্লাহর কসম, তুমি তো আমাকে প্রায় ধ্বংসই করে দিয়েছিলে। |
| Literal | He said: "By God if you were about to to make me fall/ruin (E) ." |
| Yusuf Ali | He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! |
