| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[3:178] | Wala yahsabanna allatheenakafaroo annama numlee lahum khayrun li-anfusihim innamanumlee lahum liyazdadoo ithman walahum AAathabunmuheenun
|  ولا يحسبن الذين كفروا أنما نملي لهم خير لأنفسهم إنما نملي لهم ليزدادوا إثما ولهم عذاب مهين
وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ أَنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ خَيْرٌ لِّأَنفُسِهِمْ إِنَّمَا نُمْلِي لَهُمْ لِيَزْدَادُواْ إِثْمًا وَلَهْمُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ |
| Words | |ولا - And (let) not| يحسبن - think| الذين - those who| كفروا - disbelieved| أنما - that| نملي - We give respite| لهم - to them| خير - (is) good| لأنفسهم - for themselves.| إنما - Only| نملي - We give respite| لهم - to them| ليزدادوا - so that they may increase| إثما - (in) sins,| ولهم - and for them| عذاب - (is) a punishment| مهين - humiliating.| |

| እነዚያ የካዱት ሰዎች እነርሱን ማዘግየታችንን ለነፍሶቻቸው ደግ ነገር ነው ብለው አያስቡ፡፡ እነርሱን የምናዘገያቸው ኃጢኣትን እንዲጨምሩ ብቻ ነው፡፡ ለነሱም አዋራጅ ስቃይ አላቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ولا يحسبنَّ } بالياء والتاء { الذين كفروا أنما نملي } أي إملاءنا { لهم } بتطويل الأعمار وتأخيرهم { خير لأنفسهم } وأن ومعمولاها سدت مسد المفعولين في قراءة التحتانية ومسد الثاني في الأخرى { إنما نملي } نمهل { لهم ليزدادوا إثما } بكثرة المعاصي { ولهم عذاب مهين } ذو إهانة في الآخرة . |
| Ur êeppben wid ijehlen, ar telha yasen, lmudda i sen Nefka. Nefka yasen kan lmudda, iwakken ad rnun ibekkaven. Fellasen aâaqeb isdullun. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | কাফেররা যেন মনে না করে যে আমি যে, অবকাশ দান করি, তা তাদের পক্ষে কল্যাণকর। আমি তো তাদেরকে অবকাশ দেই যাতে করে তারা পাপে উন্নতি লাভ করতে পারে। বস্তুতঃ তাদের জন্য রয়েছে লাঞ্ছনাজনক শাস্তি। |
| Literal | And (let not) those who disbelieved think/suppose (E) that We extend in time/life/enjoyment/delay goodness for themselves, but We extend in time/life/enjoyment/delay for them to increase (them in) sin/crime, and for them (is) a despised torture. |
| Yusuf Ali | Let not the Unbelievers think that our respite to them is good for themselves: We grant them respite that they may grow in their iniquity: But they will have a shameful punishment. |
| Pickthal | And let not those who disbelieve imagine that the rein We give them bodeth good unto their souls. We only give them rein that they may grow in sinfulness. And theirs will be a shameful doom. |
