| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[26:129] | Watattakhithoona masaniAAalaAAallakum takhludoona
|  وتتخذون مصانع لعلكم تخلدون
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ |
| Words | |وتتخذون - And take for yourselves| مصانع - strongholds| لعلكم - that you may| تخلدون - live forever?| |

| «የውሃ ማጠራቀሚያዎችንና ሕንፃዎችንም ዘላለም መኖርን የምትከጅሉ ኾናችሁ ትሠራላችሁን |
| آل الجلالين | { وتتخذون مصانع } للماء تحت الأرض { لعلكم } كأنكم { تخلدون } فيها لا تموتون . |
| La tepparam lebôuj, amar haat a pwekkôem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এবং বড় বড় প্রাসাদ নির্মাণ করছ, যেন তোমরা চিরকাল থাকবে? |
| Literal | And you take factories , maybe/perhaps you be immortal/eternal ? |
| Yusuf Ali | "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)? |
