| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[24:8] | Wayadrao AAanha alAAathaba antashhada arbaAAa shahadatin biAllahiinnahu lamina alkathibeena
|  ويدرأ عنها العذاب أن تشهد أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الكاذبين
وَيَدْرَؤُاْ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ |
| Words | |ويدرأ - But it would prevent| عنها - from her| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| تشهد - she bears witness| أربع - four| شهادات - testimonies| بالله - by Allah| إنه - that he| لمن - (is) surely of| الكاذبين - the liars.| |

| እርሱም ከውሸታሞች ነው ብላ አራት ጊዜ መመስከሮችን በአላህ ስም መመስከርዋ ከእርስዋ ላይ ቅጣትን ይገፈትርላታል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ويدرأ } أي يدفع { عنها العذاب } حد الزنا الذي ثبت بشهاداته { أن تشهد أربع شهادات بالله إنه لمن الكاذبين } فيما رماها من الزنا . |
| Ur teppuâaqeb tmeîîut, ma teggul s Öebbi, kué iberdan, ar neppa seg wid iskadben, |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | এবং স্ত্রীর শাস্তি রহিত হয়ে যাবে যদি সে আল্লাহর কসম খেয়ে চার বার সাক্ষ্য দেয় যে, তার স্বামী অবশ্যই মিথ্যাবাদী; |
| Literal | And pushes away/repels the torture from her that she witnesses/testifies four testimonies/certifications by God that he truly is from (E) the liars/deniers/falsifiers. |
| Yusuf Ali | But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie; |
