بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [24:12] | Lawla ith samiAAtumoohu thannaalmu/minoona waalmu/minatu bi-anfusihim khayran waqaloohatha ifkun mubeenun
| لولا إذ سمعتموه ظن المؤمنون والمؤمنات بأنفسهم خيرا وقالوا هذا إفك مبين لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ |
Words | |لولا - Why not,| إذ - when| سمعتموه - you heard it,| ظن - think| المؤمنون - the believing men| والمؤمنات - and the believing women| بأنفسهم - good of themselves| خيرا - good of themselves| وقالوا - and say,| هذا - "This| إفك - (is) a lie| مبين - clear?"| |

| (ውሸቱን) በሰማችሁት ጊዜ ምእምናንና ምእምናት በጎሶቻቸው ለምን ደግን ነገር አልጠረጠሩም ለምንስ ይህ ግልጽ ውሸት ነው አላሉም |
آل الجلالين | { لولا } هلا { إذ } حين { سمعتموه ظن المؤمنين والمؤمنات بأنفسهم } أي بعضهم ببعض { خيرا وقالوا هذا إفك مبين } كذب بيِّن، فيه التفات عن الخطاب أي ظننتم أيها العصبة وقلتم . |
| A lemmer lmumnin, argaz tameîîut, mi s slan, meyyzen lxiô, deg iman nnsen, u nnan: "wagi d tikerkas ibanen"! |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তোমরা যখন একথা শুনলে, তখন ঈমানদার পুরুষ ও নারীগণ কেন নিজেদের লোক সম্পর্কে উত্তম ধারণা করনি এবং বলনি যে, এটা তো নির্জলা অপবাদ? |
Literal | Where it not for when you heard it , the believers (M) and the believers (F) thought/assumed goodness with themselves, and they said: "That (is) evident lies/falsehood." |
