| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[23:83] | Laqad wuAAidna nahnu waabaonahatha min qablu in hatha illa asateerual-awwaleena
|  لقد وعدنا نحن وآباؤنا هذا من قبل إن هذا إلا أساطير الأولين
لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
| Words | |لقد - Verily,| وعدنا - we have been promised| نحن - [we]| وآباؤنا - and our forefathers| هذا - this| من - before;| قبل - before;| إن - not| هذا - (is) this| إلا - but| أساطير - (the) tales| الأولين - (of) the former (people)."| |

| «ይህንን እኛም ከእኛ በፊትም የነበሩት አባቶቻችን በእርግጥ ተቀጥረናል፡፡ ይህ የመጀመሪያዎቹ ሰዎች ተረቶች እንጂ ሌላ አይደለም» (አሉ)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { لقد وعدنا نحن وآباؤنا هذا } أي البعث بعد الموت { من قبل إن } ما { هذا إلا أساطير } أكاذيب { الأولين } كالأضاحيك والأعاجيب جمع أسطورة بالضم . |
| Ni$ ippuâahed wayagi i nekwni, akw, zik, i imezwura nne$. Ayagi, siwa d timucuha imezwura". |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতীতে আমাদেরকে এবং আমাদের পিতৃপুরুষদেরকে এই ওয়াদাই দেয়া হয়েছে। এটা তো পূর্ববতীদের কল্প-কথা বৈ কিছুই নয়। |
