| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[21:90] | Faistajabna lahu wawahabnalahu yahya waaslahna lahuzawjahu innahum kanoo yusariAAoona fee alkhayratiwayadAAoonana raghaban warahaban wakanoo lanakhashiAAeena
|  فاستجبنا له ووهبنا له يحيى وأصلحنا له زوجه إنهم كانوا يسارعون في الخيرات ويدعوننا رغبا ورهبا وكانوا لنا خاشعين
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَى وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ |
| Words | |فاستجبنا - So We responded| له - to him,| ووهبنا - and We bestowed| له - on him| يحيى - Yahya,| وأصلحنا - and We cured| له - for him| زوجه - his wife.| إنهم - Indeed, they| كانوا - used (to)| يسارعون - hasten| في - in| الخيرات - good deeds,| ويدعوننا - and they supplicate to Us| رغبا - (in) hope| ورهبا - and fear,| وكانوا - and they were| لنا - to Us| خاشعين - humbly submissive.| |

| ለእርሱም ጥሪውን ተቀበልነው፡፡ ለእርሱም የሕያን ሰጠነው፡፡ ለእርሱም ሚስቱን አበጀንለት፡፡ እነርሱ በበጎ ሥራዎች የሚቻኮሉ ከጃዮችና ፈሪዎች ኾነው የሚለምኑንም ነበሩ፡፡ ለእኛ ተዋራጆችም ነበሩ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فاستجبنا له } نداءه { ووهبنا له يحيى } ولداً { وأصلحنا له زوجه } فأتت بالولد بعد عقمها { إنهم } أي من ذُكر من الأنبياء { كانوا يسارعون } يبادرون { في الخيرات } الطاعات { ويدعوننا رغباً } في رحمتنا { ورهباً } من عذابنا { وكانوا لنا خاشعين } متواضعين في عبادتهم . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর আমি তার দোয়া কবুল করেছিলাম, তাকে দান করেছিলাম ইয়াহইয়া এবং তার জন্যে তার স্ত্রীকে প্রসব যোগ্য করেছিলাম। তারা সৎকর্মে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ত, তারা আশা ও ভীতি সহকারে আমাকে ডাকত এবং তারা ছিল আমার কাছে বিনীত। |
| Literal | So We answered/replied to him, and We granted to him John/Yahya and We corrected/reconciliated for him his wife , that they truly were speeding/rushing in the goodnesses , and they call Us desiring/wishing and with awe/monastically , and they were for Us humble/submissive . |
| Yusuf Ali | So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us. |
| Pickthal | Then We heard his prayer, and bestowed upon him John, and adjusted his wife (to bear a child) for him. Lo! they used to vie one with the other in good deeds, and they cried unto Us in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Us. |

| Na tiyarima Ami skaniyan: Go inibgay Ami rkaniyan so Yahya: Go tiyanor Ami rkaniyan si karoma niyan. Mataan! a siran na miyabaloy siran a gii siran magoradorad ko manga pipiya: Go pphamangni siran Rkami sa kabaya ago kalk, go miyabaloy siran a sii siran Rkami pphananangkopan. |
