بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [21:109] | Fa-in tawallaw faqul athantukum AAalasawa-in wa-in adree aqareebun am baAAeedun matooAAadoona
| فإن تولوا فقل آذنتكم على سواء وإن أدري أقريب أم بعيد ما توعدون فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ آذَنتُكُمْ عَلَى سَوَاءٍ وَإِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ |
Words | |فإن - But if| تولوا - they turn away| فقل - then say,| آذنتكم - "I (have) announced to you| على - equally| سواء - equally| وإن - And not| أدري - I know| أقريب - whether is near| أم - or| بعيد - far| ما - what| توعدون - you are promised.| |

| እምቢም ቢሉ (በማወቅ) በእኩልነት ላይ ኾነን (የታዘዝኩትን) አስታውቅኋችሁ፡፡ «የምትስፈራሩበትም ነገር ቅርብ ወይም ሩቅ መኾኑን አላውቅም፤» በላቸው፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { فإن تولوا } عن ذلك { فقل آذنتكم } أعلمتكم بالحرب { على سواء } حال من الفاعل والمفعول، أي مستوين في علمه لا أستبد به دونكم لتتأهبوا { وإن } ما { أدري أقريب أم بعيد ما توعدون } من العذاب أو القيامة المشتملة عليه وإنما يعلمه الله . |
| Ma wexxôen, ini: "âaggne$ awen, akken ma tellam; ur éôi$ ma iqôeb, ne$ ibâad, ayen i wen ippuwaââden. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে বলে দিনঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে পরিস্কার ভাবে সতর্ক করেছি এবং আমি জানি না, তোমাদেরকে যে ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে, তা নিকটবর্তী না দূরবর্তী। |
Literal | So if they turned away , so say: "I informed you on equality/straightness , and I do not know is what you are being promised, near/close, or distant/far?" |
Yusuf Ali | But if they turn back, Say: "I have proclaimed the Message to you all alike and in truth; but I know not whether that which ye are promised is near or far. |
Pickthal | But if they are averse, then say: I have warned you all alike, although I know not whether nigh or far is that which ye are promised. |
Arberry | Then, if they should turn their backs, say: 'I have proclaimed to you all equally, even though I know not whether near or far is that you are promised.' |

Asad | But if they turn away, say: "I have proclaimed this in equity unto all of you alike; [The expression ala sawa (lit., "in an equitable manner') comprises in this context two distinct concepts: that of fairness as regards the clarity and unambiguity of the above announcement, as well as of equality, implying that it is being made to all human beings alike; hence my composite rendering of this phrase.] but I do not know whether that [judgment] which you are promised [by God] is near or far [in time]. |
Khalifa** | If they turn away, then say, "I have warned you sufficiently, and I have no idea how soon or late (the retribution) will come to you. |
Hilali/Khan** | But if they (disbelievers, idolaters, Jews, Christians, polytheists, etc.) turn away (from Islamic Monotheism) say (to them O Muhammad SAW): "I give you a notice (of war as) to be known to us all alike.
