| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[20:126] | Qala kathalika atatka ayatunafanaseetaha wakathalika alyawma tunsa
|  قال كذلك أتتك آياتنا فنسيتها وكذلك اليوم تنسى
قَالَ كَذَلِكَ أَتَتْكَ آيَاتُنَا فَنَسِيتَهَا وَكَذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ تُنسَى |
| Words | |قال - He will say,| كذلك - "Thus| أتتك - came to you| آياتنا - Our Signs,| فنسيتها - but you forgot them,| وكذلك - and thus| اليوم - today| تنسى - you will be forgotten."| |

| (ነገሩ) እንደዚሁ ነው፡፡ «ታምራታችን መጣችልህ፡፡ ተውካትም፡፡ እንደዚሁም ዛሬ ትተዋለህ» ይለዋል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قال } الأمر { كذلك أتتك آياتنا فنسيتها } تركتها ولم تؤمن بها { وكذلك } مثل نسيانك آياتنا { اليوم تنسى } تترك في النار . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আল্লাহ বলবেনঃ এমনিভাবে তোমার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ এসেছিল, অতঃপর তুমি সেগুলো ভুলে গিয়েছিলে। তেমনিভাবে আজ তোমাকে ভুলে যাব। |
| Literal | He said: "Like that, Our verses/evidences/signs came to you so you forgot it, and like that today you be forgotten." |
| Yusuf Ali | (Allah) will say: "Thus didst Thou, when Our Signs came unto thee, disregard them: so wilt thou, this day, be disregarded." |
| Pickthal | He will say: So (it must be). Our revelations came unto thee but thou didst forget them. In like manner thou art forgotten this Day. |
