| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[20:116] | Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa aba
|  وإذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس أبى
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى |
| Words | |وإذ - And when| قلنا - We said| للملائكة - to the Angels,| اسجدوا - "Prostrate| لآدم - to Adam,"| فسجدوا - then they prostrated,| إلا - except| إبليس - Iblis;| أبى - he refused.| |

| ለመላእክትም ለአዳም ስገዱ ባልን ጊዜ (አስታውስ)፡፡ ሰገዱም፤ ኢብሊስ ብቻ ሲቀር እምቢ አለ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ( و ) اذكر ( إذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لآدم فسجدوا إلا إبليس ) وهو أبو الجن كان يصحب الملائكة ويعبد الله معهم ( أبى ) عن السجود لآدم "" قال أنا خير منه "" . |
| Mi Nenna i lmalayek: "knumt i Adem", knant, siwa Iblis i iugin. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ তোমরা আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সেজদা করল। সে অমান্য করল। |
| Literal | And when We said to the angels: "Prostrate to Adam." So they prostrated except Satan/Iblis refused/hated. |
