| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[20:117] | Faqulna ya adamu innahatha AAaduwwun laka walizawjika falayukhrijannakuma mina aljannati fatashqa
|  فقلنا يا آدم إن هذا عدو لك ولزوجك فلا يخرجنكما من الجنة فتشقى
فَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ إِنَّ هَذَا عَدُوٌّ لَّكَ وَلِزَوْجِكَ فَلَا يُخْرِجَنَّكُمَا مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ فَتَشْقَى |
| Words | |فقلنا - Then We said,| يا - O| آدم - "O Adam!| إن - Indeed,| هذا - this| عدو - (is) an enemy| لك - to you| ولزوجك - and to your wife.| فلا - So not| يخرجنكما - (let) him drive you both| من - from| الجنة - Paradise| فتشقى - so (that) you would suffer.| |

| አልንም «አደም ሆይ! ይህ ላንተም ለሚስትህም በእርግጥ ጠላት ነው፡፡ ስለዚህ ከገነት አያውጣችሁ፤ ትለፋለህና፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فقلنا يا آدم إنَّ هذا عدو لك ولزوجك } حواء بالمد { فلا يخرجنكما من الجنة فتشقى } تتعب بالحرث والزرع والحصد والطحن والخبز وغير ذلك واقتصر على شقائه لأن الرجل يسعى على زوجته . |
| Nenna: "a Adem, wagi, s tidep, d acengu k, akked tmeîîut ik. £urwat a kwen id issuffe$, si Loennet, a p$weblem. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর আমি বললামঃ হে আদম, এ তোমার ও তোমার স্ত্রীর শত্রু, সুতরাং সে যেন বের করে না দেয় তোমাদের জান্নাত থেকে। তাহলে তোমরা কষ্টে পতিত হবে। |
| Literal | So We said: "You Adam, that (E) that (is) an enemy for you and to your wife/spouse, so let him not bring you (B) out from the Paradise, so you (will) be miserable/unhappy." |
| Yusuf Ali | Then We said: "O Adam! verily, this is an enemy to thee and thy wife: so let him not get you both out of the Garden, so that thou art landed in misery. |
