بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [2:83] | Wa-ith akhathna meethaqabanee isra-eela la taAAbudoona illa Allahawabialwalidayni ihsanan watheealqurba waalyatama waalmasakeeniwaqooloo lilnnasi husnan waaqeemoo alssalatawaatoo alzzakata thumma tawallaytum illaqaleelan minkum waantum muAAridoona
| وإذ أخذنا ميثاق بني إسرائيل لا تعبدون إلا الله وبالوالدين إحسانا وذي القربى واليتامى والمساكين وقولوا للناس حسنا وأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة ثم توليتم إلا قليلا منكم وأنتم معرضون وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَ بَنِىْ إِسْرَائِيلَ لاَ تَعْبُدُونَ إِلاَّ اللّهَ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَاناً وَّذِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَقُولُواْ لِلنَّاسِ حُسْناً وَّأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَآتُواْ الزَّكَاةَ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّيْتُمْ إِلاَّ قَلِيْلاً مِّنكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ مُّعْرِضُونَ |
Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذنا - We took| ميثاق - (the) covenant| بني - (from the) Children| إسرائيل - (of) Israel,| لا - "Not| تعبدون - you will worship| إلا - except| الله - Allah,| وبالوالدين - and with [the] parents| إحسانا - (be) good| وذي - and (with)| القربى - relatives| واليتامى - and [the] orphans| والمساكين - and the needy,| وقولوا - and speak| للناس - to [the] people| حسنا - good,| وأقيموا - and establish| الصلاة - the prayer| وآتوا - and give| الزكاة - the zakah."| ثم - Then| توليتم - you turned away,| إلا - except| قليلا - a few| منكم - of you,| وأنتم - and you (were)| معرضون - refusing.| |

| የእስራኤል ልጆችንም ጥብቅ ኪዳን አላህን እንጂ ሌላን አታምልኩ፤ በወላጆችም በጎን ሥራ (አድርጉ)፤ በዝምድና ባለቤቶችም፣ በየቲሞችም (አባት የሌላቸው ልጆች) በምስኪኖችም (በጎ ዋሉ)፤ ለሰዎችም መልካምን ተናገሩ፤ ሶላትንም ደንቡን ጠብቃችሁ ስገዱ፤ ዘካንም ስጡ በማለት በያዝንባቸው ጊዜ (አስታውሱ)፡፡ ከዚያም ከናንተ ጥቂቶች ሲቀሩ ሸሻችሁ እናንተም (ኪዳንን) የምትተዉ ናችሁ፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { و } اذكر { إذ أخذنا ميثاق بني إسرائيل } في التوراة وقلنا { لا تعبدون } بالتاء والياء { إلا الله } خبر بمعنى النهي، وقرئ: لا تعبدوا { و } أحسنوا { بالوالدين إحساناً } براً { وذي القربى } القرابة عطف على الوالدين { واليتامى والمساكين وقولوا للناس } قولا { حسناً } من الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر والصدق في شأن محمد والرفق بهم، وفي قراءة بضم الحاء وسكون السين مصدر وصف به مبالغة { وأقيموا الصلاة وآتوا الزكاة } فقبلتم ذلك { ثم تولَّيتم } أعرضتم عن الوفاء به، فيه التفات عن الغيبة والمراد آباؤهم { إلا قليلا منكم وأنتم معرضون } عنه كآبائكم. |
| Mi Nga laâqed i At Isôail: "ur âabdet siwa Öebbi. Elhut ar imawlan, ar llzem nnwen, ar igujilen, ar igellilen. Init i medden, awal imaânen. èéÈallet, zekkit". Sinna, twexxôem, siwa kra segwen, u, kunwi, tnumrem. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যখন আমি বনী-ইসরাঈলের কাছ থেকে অঙ্গীকার নিলাম যে, তোমরা আল্লাহ ছাড়া কারও উপাসনা করবে না, পিতা-মাতা, আত্নীয়-স্বজন, এতীম ও দীন-দরিদ্রদের সাথে সদ্ব্যবহার করবে, মানুষকে সৎ কথাবার্তা বলবে, নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করবে এবং যাকাত দেবে, তখন সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলে, তোমরাই অগ্রাহ্যকারী। |
Literal | And when We took Israel's sons' and daughters' promise/covenant, "Do not worship except God, and with the parents a goodness and of the relations/near , and the orphans and the poorest of the poor/poor oppressed , and say to the people goodness, and keep up/take care of the prayers and give/bring the charity/purification." Then you turned away except (a) few from you and you are objecting/opposing . |
Yusuf Ali | And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. Then did ye turn back, except a few among you, and ye backslide (even now). |

Sarwar | We made a covenant with the children of Israel that they should not worship anyone except Me, that they should serve their parents, relatives, orphans, and the destitute, that they should speak righteous words to people, and that they should be steadfast in their prayers and pay the religious tax. But soon after you made this covenant, all but a few of you broke it heedlessly. |
