| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:57] | Wathallalna AAalaykumualghamama waanzalna AAalaykumu almanna waalssalwakuloo min tayyibati ma razaqnakum wamathalamoona walakin kanooanfusahum yathlimoona
|  وظللنا عليكم الغمام وأنزلنا عليكم المن والسلوى كلوا من طيبات ما رزقناكم وما ظلمونا ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون
وَظَلَّلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْغَمَامَ وَأَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَنَّ وَالسَّلْوَى كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَاتِ مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ وَمَا ظَلَمُونَا وَلَـكِنْ كَانُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ |
| Words | |وظللنا - And We shaded| عليكم - [over] you| الغمام - (with) [the] clouds| وأنزلنا - and We sent down| عليكم - to you| المن - [the] manna| والسلوى - and [the] quails,| كلوا - "Eat| من - from| طيبات - (the) good things| ما - that| رزقناكم - We have provided you."| وما - And not| ظلمونا - they wronged Us,| ولكن - but| كانوا - they were| أنفسهم - (to) themselves| يظلمون - doing wrong.| |

| በናንተም ላይ ደመናን አጠለልን፡፡ በናተም ላይ (እንደ ነጭ ማር ያለ) መንናን እና ድርጭትን አወረድን፡፡ ከሰጠናችሁም ጣፋጮች «ብሉ (አልን)፡፡» አልበደሉንምም ግን ነፍሶቻቸውን ይበድሉ ነበር፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وظلَّلنا عليكم الغمام } سترناكم بالسحاب الرقيق من حر الشمس في التيه { وأنزلنا عليكم } فيه { المن والسلوى } هما الترنجبين والطير السماني بتخفيف الميم والقصر، وقلنا : { كلوا من طيبات ما رزقناكم } ولا تدَّخروا، فكفروا النعمة وادخروا فقطع عنهم { وما ظلمونا } بذلك { ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون } لأن وباله عليهم . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর আমি তোমাদের উপর ছায়া দান করেছি মেঘমালার দ্বারা এবং তোমাদের জন্য খাবার পাঠিয়েছি ’মান্না’ ও সালওয়া’। সেসব পবিত্র বস্তু তোমরা ভক্ষন কর, যা আমি তোমাদেরকে দান করেছি। বস্তুতঃ তারা আমার কোন ক্ষতি করতে পারেনি, বরং নিজেদেরই ক্ষতি সাধন করেছে। |
| Literal | And We overshadowed on you the clouds , and We descended on you the mana (sweet gluey substance) and the quails/amusement . Eat from (the) goodness (of) what We provided for you , and they did not cause injustice to Us, and but they were (to) themselves causing injustice. |
| Yusuf Ali | And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you Manna and quails, saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for you:" (But they rebelled); to us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls. |
