| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[2:181] | Faman baddalahu baAAda ma samiAAahufa-innama ithmuhu AAala allatheenayubaddiloonahu inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun
|  فمن بدله بعدما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم
فَمَن بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ |
| Words | |فمن - Then whoever| بدله - changes it| بعدما - after what| سمعه - he (has) heard [it],| فإنما - so only| إثمه - its sin| على - (would be) on| الذين - those who| يبدلونه - alter it.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| سميع - (is) All-Hearing,| عليم - All-Knowing.| |

| (ኑዛዜውን) ከሰማውም በኋላ የለወጠው ሰው ኃጢአቱ በነዚያ በሚለውጡት ላይ ብቻ ነው፡፡ አላህ ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነውና፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { فمن بدَّله } أي الإيصاء من شاهد ووصي { بعد ما سمعه } علمه { فإنما إثمه } أي الإيصاء المبدل { على الذين يبدلونه } فيه إقامة الظاهر مقام المضمر { إن الله سميع } لقول الموصي { عليم } بفعل الوصي فمجاز عليه . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | যদি কেউ ওসীয়ত শোনার পর তাতে কোন রকম পরিবর্তন সাধন করে, তবে যারা পরিবর্তন করে তাদের উপর এর পাপ পতিত হবে। |
| Literal | So who exchanged/replaced/substituted it after what he heard it, so but his sin/crime (is) on those who exchange/replace/substitute it, that God (is) hearing/listening, knowledgeable. |
| Yusuf Ali | If anyone changes the bequest after hearing it, the guilt shall be on those who make the change. For Allah hears and knows (All things). |
| Pickthal | And whoso changeth (the will) after he hath heard it - the sin thereof is only upon those who change it. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower. |
