بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [2:166] | Ith tabarraa allatheenaittubiAAoo mina allatheena ittabaAAoo waraawoo alAAathabawataqattaAAat bihimu al-asbabu
| إذ تبرأ الذين اتبعوا من الذين اتبعوا ورأوا العذاب وتقطعت بهم الأسباب إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُواْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُواْ وَرَأَوُاْ الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الأَسْبَابُ |
Words | |إذ - When| تبرأ - will disown| الذين - those who| اتبعوا - were followed| من - [from]| الذين - those who| اتبعوا - followed| ورأوا - and they will see| العذاب - the punishment,| وتقطعت - [and] will be cut off| بهم - for them| الأسباب - the relations.| |

| እነዚያ አስከታዮቹ ቅጣትን ያዩ ሲኾኑ ከእነዚያ ከተከታዮች በተጥራሩና በእነርሱም (መካከል) ምክንያቶች በተቆረጡ ጊዜ (የሚኾኑትን ባወቁ ኖሮ በተጸጸቱ ነበር)፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { إذ } بدل من إذ قبله { تبرَّأ الذين اتُبعوا } أي الرؤساء { من الذين اتَّبعوا } أي أنكروا إضلالهم { و } قد { رأوا العذاب وتقطعت } عطف تبرأ { بهم } عنهم { الأسباب } الوصل التي كانت بينهم في الدنيا من الأرحام والمودة . |

মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অনুসৃতরা যখন অনুসরণকারীদের প্রতি অসন্তুষ্ট হয়ে যাবে এবং যখন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করবে আর বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যাবে তাদের পারস্পরিক সমস্ত সম্পর্ক। |
Literal | When those who were followed declared innocence/renounced from those who followed (them), and they saw the torture, and the reasons/motives (were) cut off/separated with them. |
Yusuf Ali | Then would those who are followed clear themselves of those who follow (them) : They would see the penalty, and all relations between them would be cut off. |
Pickthal | (On the day) when those who were followed disown those who followed (them), and they behold the doom, and all their aims collapse with them. |
Arberry | when those that were followed disown their followers, and they see the chastisement, and their cords are cut asunder, |
Shakir | When those who were followed shall renounce those who followed (them), and they see the chastisement and their ties are cut asunder. |

Abul Ala Maududi | جب وہ سزا دے گا اس وقت کیفیت یہ ہوگی کہ وہی پیشوا اور رہنما، جن کی دنیا میں پیروی کی گئی تھی، اپنے پیروؤں سے بے تعلقی ظاہر کریں گے، مگر سزا پا کر رہیں گے اور ان کے سارے اسباب و وسائل کا سلسلہ کٹ جائے گا |
