[2:165] | Wamina alnnasi man yattakhithumin dooni Allahi andadan yuhibboonahum kahubbiAllahi waallatheena amanoo ashaddu hubbanlillahi walaw yara allatheena thalamooith yarawna alAAathaba anna alquwwata lillahijameeAAan waanna Allaha shadeedu alAAathabi
|  ومن الناس من يتخذ من دون الله أندادا يحبونهم كحب الله والذين آمنوا أشد حبا لله ولو يرى الذين ظلموا إذ يرون العذاب أن القوة لله جميعا وأن الله شديد العذاب
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ أَندَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلّهِ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّهِ جَمِيعاً وَأَنَّ اللّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ |
| Words | |ومن - And among| الناس - the mankind| من - who| يتخذ - takes| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah| أندادا - equals.| يحبونهم - They love them| كحب - as (they should) love| الله - Allah.| والذين - And those who| آمنوا - believe[d]| أشد - (are) stronger| حبا - (in) love| لله - for Allah.| ولو - And if| يرى - would see| الذين - those who| ظلموا - wronged,| إذ - when| يرون - they will see| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| القوة - the power| لله - (belongs) to Allah| جميعا - all| وأن - and [that]| الله - Allah| شديد - (is) severe| العذاب - (in) [the] punishment.| |

| ከሰዎችም ከአላህ ሌላ ባለንጣዎችን (ጣዖታትን) አላህን እንደሚወዱ የሚወዷቸው ኾነው የሚይዙ አልሉ፡፡ እነዚያ ያመኑትም አላህን በመውደድ (ከነርሱ) ይበልጥ የበረቱ ናቸው፡፡ እነዚያም የበደሉት ሰዎች ቅጣትን (በትንሣኤ ቀን) ባዩ ጊዜ ኀይል ሁሉ ለአላህ ብቻ መኾኑንና አላህም ቅጣቱ ብርቱ መኾኑን (በአዱኛ ዓለም) ቢያውቁ ኖሮ (ባላንጣዎችን በመያዛቸው በተጸጸቱ ነበር)፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ومن الناس من يتخذ من دون الله } أي غيره { أندادا } أصناما { يحبونهم } بالتعظيم والخضوع { كحب الله } أي كحبهم له { والذين آمنوا أشد حبا لله } من حبهم للأنداد لأنهم لا يعدلون عنه بحال ما، والكفار يعدلون في الشدة إلى الله { ولو يرى } تبصر يا محمد { الذين ظلموا } باتخاذ الأنداد { إذ يرون } بالبناء للفاعل والمفعول به يبصرون { العذاب } لرأيت أمرا عظيما وإذا بمعني إذا { أن } أي لأن { القوة } القدرة والغلبة { لله جميعا } حال { وأن الله شديد العذاب } وفي قراءة ترى والفاعل ضمير السامع، وقيل الذين ظلموا وهي بمعني يعلم وأن وما بعدها سدت مسد المفعولين وجواب لو محذوف والمعنى لو علموا في الدنيا شدة عذاب الله وأن القدرة لله وحده وقت معاينتهم له وهو يوم القيامة لما اتخذوا من دونه أندادا . |
| Ger yimdanen, llan wid ippadamen tanudda, war Öebbi. Ëemmlen ten akken Ippuêemmel Öebbi. Wid iumnen zaden akken êemmlen Öebbi. Awufan wid idensen, mi walan aâaqeb, ad éôen ar tazmert akw n Öebbi, u Öebbi Iqseê deg uâaqeb. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আর কোন লোক এমনও রয়েছে যারা অন্যান্যকে আল্লাহর সমকক্ষ সাব্যস্ত করে এবং তাদের প্রতি তেমনি ভালবাসা পোষণ করে, যেমন আল্লাহর প্রতি ভালবাসা হয়ে থাকে। কিন্তু যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমানদার তাদের ভালবাসা ওদের তুলনায় বহুগুণ বেশী। আর কতইনা উত্তম হ’ত যদি এ জালেমরা পার্থিব কোন কোন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করেই উপলব্ধি করে নিত যে, যাবতীয় ক্ষমতা শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহরই জন্য এবং আল্লাহর আযাবই সবচেয়ে কঠিনতর। |
| Literal | And from the people who take from other than God equals (idols), they love/like them as God's love/like and those who believed (are) stronger loving/like to God, and if those who were unjust/oppressive see/understand when they see/understand the torture, that the power/strength is to God all together and that God (is) strong (severe in) the torture. |
| Yusuf Ali | Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty. |

| Sarwar | Some people consider certain things equal to God and love them just as one should love God. However, the strongest of the believers' love is their love of God. Had the unjust been able to reflect about their condition, when facing the torment, they would have had no doubt that to God belongs All-power and that He is stern in His retribution. |

| Abul Ala Maududi | (مگر وحدت خداوندی پر دلالت کرنے والے اِن کھلے کھلے آثار کے ہوتے ہوئے بھی) کچھ لوگ ایسے ہیں جو اللہ کے سوا دوسروں کو اس کا ہمسر اور مدمقابل بناتے ہیں اور اُن کے ایسے گرویدہ ہیں جیسے اللہ کے ساتھ گرویدگی ہونی چاہیے حالانکہ ایمان رکھنے والے لوگ سب سے بڑھ کر اللہ کو محبوب رکھتے ہیں کاش، جو کچھ عذاب کو سامنے دیکھ کر انہیں سُوجھنے والا ہے وہ آج ہی اِن ظالموں کو سوجھ جائے کہ ساری طاقتیں اور سارے اختیارات اللہ ہی کے قبضے میں ہیں اور یہ کہ اللہ سزا دینے میں بھی بہت سخت ہے |
