بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Qul law kana albahru midadanlikalimati rabbee lanafida albahru qabla an tanfadakalimatu rabbee walaw ji/na bimithlihi madadan قل لو كان البحر مدادا لكلمات ربي لنفد البحر قبل أن تنفد كلمات ربي ولو جئنا بمثله مددا
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِّكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا
 Words|قل - Say,| لو - "If| كان - were| البحر - the sea| مدادا - ink,| لكلمات - for (the) Words| ربي - (of) my Lord,| لنفد - surely (would be) exhausted| البحر - the sea| قبل - before| أن - [that]| تنفد - (were) exhausted| كلمات - (the) Words| ربي - (of) my Lord,| ولو - even if| جئنا - We brought| بمثله - (the) like (of) it| مددا - (as) a supplement."|

«ባሕሩ ለጌታዬ ቃላት (መጻፊያ) ቀለሞችን በሆነ ኖሮ ብጤውን ጭማሪ ብናመጣም እንኳን የጌታዬ ቃላት ከማለቋ በፊት ባሕሩ ባለቀ ነበር» በላቸው፡፡
آل الجلالين{ قل لو كان البحر } أي ماؤه { مدادا } هو ما يكتب به { لكلمات ربي } الدالة على حكمه وعجائبه بأن تكتب به { لنفد البحر } في كتابتها { قبل أن تنفد } بالتاء والياء: تفرغ { كلمات ربي ولو جئنا بمثله } أي البحر { مَدَدا } زيادة فيه لنفد، ولم تفرغ هي، ونصبه على التمييز .
Ini: "lemmer ill d lmidad, i wawalen n Mass iw, ad iqqaô yill, uqbel ad fukken wawalen n Mass iw, xas a d nawi i t icban n lmidad".
মুহিউদ্দীন খানবলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, লেখার জন্যে যদি সমুদ্রের পানি কালি হয়, তবে আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, শেষ হওয়ার আগেই সে সমুদ্র নিঃশেষিত হয়ে যাবে। সাহায্যার্থে অনুরূপ আরেকটি সমুদ্র এনে দিলেও।
LiteralSay: "If the sea/ocean was ink/writing liquid for my Lord's words/expressions, the sea/ocean would have been depleted/exhausted (E) before that my Lord's words/expressions deplete/exhaust , and even if We came with equal/alike to it (to the sea/ocean) (for) ink/writing liquid (as) an extension/spread."
Yusuf AliSay: "If the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid."
PickthalSay: Though the sea became ink for the Words of my Lord, verily the sea would be used up before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even though We brought the like thereof to help.
Arberry Say:. 'If the sea were ink for the Words of my Lord, the sea would be spent before the Words of my Lord are spent, though We brought replenishment the like of it.'
ShakirSay: If the sea were ink for the words of my Lord, the sea would surely be consumed before the words of my Lord are exhausted, though We were to bring the like of that (sea) to add
Sarwar(Muhammad), tell them, "Had the seas been used as ink to write down the words of my Lord, they would have all been consumed before the words of my Lord could have been recorded, even though replenished with a like quantity of ink.
H/K/SaheehSay, "If the sea were ink for [writing] the words of my Lord, the sea would be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, even if We brought the like of it as a supplement."
MalikO Muhammad tell them: "If the ocean were ink with which to write the words of my Lord, the ocean would surely be consumed before the words of my Lord are finished, even if We brought similar quantity of ink to replenish it.[109]
Maulana Ali**Say: If the sea were ink for the words of my Lord, the sea would surely be exhausted before the words of my Lord were exhausted, though We brought the like of it to add (thereto).
Free MindsSay: "If the sea were an inkwell for the words of my Lord, then the sea would run out before the words of my Lord run out;" even if We were to bring another like it for its aid.

AsadSAY: "If all the sea were ink for my Sustainer's words, the sea would indeed be exhausted ere my Sustainer's words are exhausted! And [thus it would be] if we were to add to it sea upon sea." '
Khalifa**Say, "If the ocean were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean would run out, before the words of my Lord run out, even if we double the ink supply."
Hilali/Khan**Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind). "If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely, the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if we brought (another sea) like it for its aid."
QXP Shabbir Ahemd**Say, "If all the sea were ink for my Sustainer's Words, the sea would indeed be exhausted before my Sustainer's Words are exhausted! And thus it would be if We were to add to it sea upon sea." (31:27).
Sano: »Jos meri muuttuisi musteeksi Herrani sanojen kirjoittamista varten, niin totisesti, meri tyhjenisi ennen kuin Herrani sanat loppuisivat, vieläpä vaikka lisäisimme siihen toisen yhtä suuren meren.»
Tharoang ka: "Apiya mbaloy so kalodan a dawat (a isorat) ko manga katharo o Kadnan ko, na thaman dn so kalodan na di pn thaman so manga katharo o Kadnan ko, apiya mgay Kami sa lagid iyan a iyoman on."
Ahmed Raza Khanتم فرمادو اگر سمندر میرے رب کی باتوں کے لیے، سیاہی ہو تو ضرور سمندر ختم ہوجائے گا اور میرے رب کی باتیں ختم نہ ہوں گی اگرچہ ہم ویسا ہی اور اس کی مدد کو لے آئیں
Shabbir Ahmed کہہ دیجیے کہ اگر بن جائے سمندر روشنائی میرے رب کی باتیں لکھنے کے لیے تو ضرور ختم ہوجائے سمندر اس سے پہلے کہ ختم ہوں باتیں میرے رب کی اور خواہ لے آئیں ہم اتنی ہی اور روشنائی۔
Fateh Muhammad Jalandharyکہہ دو کہ اگر سمندر میرے پروردگار کی باتوں کے (لکھنے کے) لئے سیاہی ہو تو قبل اس کے کہ میرے پروردگار کی باتیں تمام ہوں سمندر ختم ہوجائے اگرچہ ہم ویسا ہی اور (سمندر) اس کی مدد کو لائیں
Mehmood Al Hassanتو کہہ اگر دریا سیاہی ہو کہ لکھے میرے رب کی باتیں بیشک دریا خرچ ہو چکے ابھی نہ پوری ہوں میرے رب کی باتیں اور اگرچہ دوسرا بھی لائیں ہم ویسا ہی اسکی مدد کو
Abul Ala Maududiاے محمدؐ، کہو کہ اگر سمندر میرے رب کی باتیں لکھنے کے لیے روشنائی بن جائے تو وہ ختم ہو جائے مگر میرے رب کی باتیں ختم نہ ہوں، بلکہ اتنی ہی روشنائی ہم اور لے آئیں تو وہ بھی کفایت نہ کرے
Ahmed Aliکہہ دو اگر میرے رب کی باتیں لکھنےکے لئے سمندر سیاہی بن جائے تو میرے رب کی باتیں ختم ہونے سے پہلے سمندر ختم ہو جائے اور اگرچہ اس کی مدد کے لیے ہم ایسا ہی اور سمندر لائیں
