بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [13:11] | Lahu muAAaqqibatun min bayni yadayhiwamin khalfihi yahfathoonahu min amri Allahiinna Allaha la yughayyiru ma biqawmin hattayughayyiroo ma bi-anfusihim wa-itha aradaAllahu biqawmin soo-an fala maradda lahu wamalahum min doonihi min walin
| له معقبات من بين يديه ومن خلفه يحفظونه من أمر الله إن الله لا يغير ما بقوم حتى يغيروا ما بأنفسهم وإذا أراد الله بقوم سوءا فلا مرد له وما لهم من دونه من وال لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِّن بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلاَ مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ |
Words | |له - For him| معقبات - (are) successive (Angels)| من - from| بين - (before)| يديه - (him)| ومن - and from| خلفه - and behind him,| يحفظونه - who guard him| من - by| أمر - (the) command| الله - (of) Allah.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يغير - change| ما - (the condition)| بقوم - of a people,| حتى - until| يغيروا - they change| ما - what| بأنفسهم - (is) in themselves.| وإذا - And when| أراد - wills| الله - Allah| بقوم - for a people| سوءا - misfortune,| فلا - then (there is) no| مرد - turning away| له - of it,| وما - and not| لهم - for them| من - from| دونه - besides Him| من - any| وال - protector.| |

| ለእርሱ (ለሰው) ከስተፊቱም ከኋላውም በአላህ ትዕዛዝ (ከክፉ) የሚጠብቁት ተተካኪዎች (መላእክት) አሉት፡፡ አላህ በሕዝቦች ዘንድ ያለውን ጸጋ በነፍሶቻቸው ያለውን (ኹኔታ) እስከሚለውጡ ድረስ አይለውጥም፡፡ አላህም በሰዎች ላይ ክፉን በሻ ጊዜ ለእርሱ መመለስ የለውም፡፡ ለእነርሱም ከእርሱ ሌላ ምንም ተከላካይ የላቸውም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { له } للإنسان { معقبات } ملائكة تتعقبه { من بين يديه } قدامه { ومن خلفه } ورائه { يحفظونه من أمر الله } أي بأمره من الجن وغيرهم { إن الله لا يغيِّر ما بقوم } لا يسلبهم نعمته { حتى يغيِّروا ما بأنفسهم } من الحالة الجميلة بالمعصية { وإذا أراد الله بقوم سوءا } عذابا { فلا مرد له } من المعقبات ولا غيرها { وما لهم } لمن أراد الله بهم سوءا { من دونه } أي غير الله { من } زائدة { وال } يمنعه عنهم . |
| Isâa iâssasen zdat es, deffir es, pêaraben fellas, s lameô n Öebbi. Öebbi, s tidep, ur Ipbeddil i illan deg ugdud, alamma bedlen i illan deg iman nnsen. Ma Irad Öebbi ayen n dir, i ugdud, ur t itekkes yiwen. Ur sâin amâiwen, war Neppa. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাঁর পক্ষ থেকে অনুসরণকারী রয়েছে তাদের অগ্রে এবং পশ্চাতে, আল্লাহর নির্দেশে তারা ওদের হেফাযত করে। আল্লাহ কোন জাতির অবস্থা পরিবর্তন করেন না, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা তাদের নিজেদের অবস্থা পরিবর্তন করে। আল্লাহ যখন কোন জাতির উপর বিপদ চান, তখন তা রদ হওয়ার নয় এবং তিনি ব্যতীত তাদের কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই। |
Literal | For him (are) successive angels/glorifications from between his hands and from behind him they protect/guard him from God's order/command (punishment upon his nation's evil ones), that God does not change what (is) with a nation until they change what (is) with themselves, and if God willed/wanted bad/evil/harm with a nation, so (there is) no return (protection) to (from) it, and (there is) no (one) for them from other than Him from aguardian/victorior . |
Yusuf Ali | For each (such person) there are (angels) in succession, before and behind him: They guard him by command of Allah. Allah does not change a people's lot unless they change what is in their hearts. But when (once) Allah willeth a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to protect. |
Pickthal | For him are angels ranged before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's command. Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him. |
Arberry | he has attendant angels, before him and behind him, watching over him by God's command. God changes not what is in a people, until they change what is in themselves. Whensover God desires evil for a people, there is no turning it back; apart from Him, they have no protector. |
Shakir | For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no averting it, and besides Him they have no protector. |
Sarwar | Everyone is guarded and protected on all sides by the order of God. God does not change the condition of a nation unless it changes what is in its heart. When God wants to punish a people, there is no way to escape from it and no one besides God will protect them from it. |
H/K/Saheeh | For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron. |
Malik | Each person has been assigned guardian angels before him and behind him, who watch him by the command of Allah. The fact is that Allah never changes the condition of a people until they intend to change it themselves. If Allah wants to afflict a people with misfortune, none can ward it off, nor they can find any protector besides Him.[11] |

Asad | [thinking that] he has hosts of helpers-both such as can be perceived by him and such as are hidden from him"-that could preserve him from whatever my rendering. According to Zamakhshari, this interpretation is further strengthened by the subsequent reference to God's omniscience. in the sense of "an idea", irrespective of whether it is expressed in actual words (as a statement, an assertion, a formulated doctrine, etc.) or merely conceived in the mind (e.g., an opinion, a view, or a connected set of ideas). Since in the above verse this term obviously refers to unspoken thoughts, I have rendered it accordingly. AR-RA' D SORAH God may have willed.' Verily, God does not change men's condition unless they change their inner selves ;26 and when God wills people to suffer evil [in consequence of their . own evil deeds], there is none who could avert it: for they have none who could protect them from Him. |
Khalifa** | Shifts (of angels) take turns, staying with each one of you - they are in front of you and behind you. They stay with you, and guard you in accordance with GOD's commands. Thus, GOD does not change the condition of any people unless they themselves make the decision to change. If GOD wills any hardship for any people, no force can stop it. For they have none beside Him as Lord and Master. |
Hilali/Khan** | For each (person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him. They guard him by the Command of Allah. Verily! Allah will not change the good condition of a people as long as they do not change their state of goodness themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allah). But when Allah wills a peoples punishment, there can be no turning back of it, and they will find besides Him no protector. |
QXP Shabbir Ahemd** | A person may think that he has helpers, perceptible (wealth etc) and imperceptible (status etc) that could preserve him from Allah's Requital. But the Law of Requital applies to individuals and nations. Verily, Allah never changes a nation's condition unless they change their inner selves (8:53). And when nations suffer Allah's Requital for their actions, there is none that can repel it, nor do they have a defender outside His Laws. |

Shabbir Ahmed | اس کے مقرر کیے ہُوئے نگران لگے ہوئے ہیں بندے کے آگے بھی اور اس کے پیچھے بھی جو اس کی دیکھ بھال کرتے ہیں اللہ کے حُکم سے۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ اللہ نہیں بدلتا حالت کسی قوم کی جب تک کہ (نہ) بدلے وہ ان اوصاف کو جو اس میں ہیں، اور جب ارادہ کرتا ہے اللہ کسی قوم کی شامت لانے کا تو نہیں ہے کوئی ٹالنے والا اس کا،اور نہیں ہے اُن کا اللہ کے مقابلہ میں کوئی مدد گار۔ |
