| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[12:77] | Qaloo in yasriq faqad saraqa akhunlahu min qablu faasarraha yoosufu fee nafsihi walam yubdihalahum qala antum sharrun makanan waAllahuaAAlamu bima tasifoona
|  قالوا إن يسرق فقد سرق أخ له من قبل فأسرها يوسف في نفسه ولم يبدها لهم قال أنتم شر مكانا والله أعلم بما تصفون
قَالُواْ إِن يَسْرِقْ فَقَدْ سَرَقَ أَخٌ لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ فَأَسَرَّهَا يُوسُفُ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَلَمْ يُبْدِهَا لَهُمْ قَالَ أَنتُمْ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمْ بِمَا تَصِفُونَ |
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| إن - "If| يسرق - he steals -| فقد - then verily| سرق - stole| أخ - a brother| له - of his| من - before."| قبل - before."| فأسرها - But Yusuf kept it secret| يوسف - But Yusuf kept it secret| في - within| نفسه - himself,| ولم - and (did) not| يبدها - reveal it| لهم - to them.| قال - He said,| أنتم - "You| شر - (are the) worse| مكانا - (in) position,| والله - and Allah| أعلم - knows best| بما - of what| تصفون - you describe."| |

| «ቢሰርቅ ከአሁን በፊት የርሱው ወንድም በእርግጥ ሰርቋል» አሉ፡፡ ዩሱፍም (ይህችን ንግግር) በነፍሱ ውስጥ ደበቃት፡፡ ለእነሱም አልገለጣትም፡፡ (በልቡ) «እናንተ ሥራችሁ የከፋ ነው፡፡ አላህም የምትሉትን ሁሉ ይበልጥ ዐዋቂ ነው» አለ፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قالوا إن يسرق فقد سرق أخ له من قبل } أي يوسف وكان سرق لأبي أمه صنما من ذهب فكسره لئلا يعبده { فأسرها يوسف في نفسه ولم يبدها } يظهرها { لهم } والضمير للكلمة التي في قوله { قال } في نفسه { أنتم شر مكانا } من يوسف وأخيه لسرقتكم أخاكم من أبيكم وظلمكم له { والله أعلم } عالم { بما تصفون } تذكرون من أمره . |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বলতে লাগলঃ যদি সে চুরি করে থাকে, তবে তার এক ভাইও ইতিপূর্বে চুরি করেছিল। তখন ইউসুফ প্রকৃত ব্যাপার নিজের মনে রাখলেন এবং তাদেরকে জানালেন না। মনে মনে বললেনঃ তোমরা লোক হিসাবে নিতান্ত মন্দ এবং আল্লাহ খুব জ্ঞাত রয়েছেন, যা তোমরা বর্ণনা করছ; |
| Literal | They said: "If he steals/robs, so a brother to him had stolen/robbed from before." So Joseph kept it secret in himself, and did not show it to them, he said: "You are a worse position , and God (is) more knowledgeable with what you describe/categorize." |
| Yusuf Ali | They said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his who did steal before (him)." But these things did Joseph keep locked in his heart, revealing not the secrets to them. He (simply) said (to himself): "Ye are the worse situated; and Allah knoweth best the truth of what ye assert!" |
