| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[12:74] | Qaloo fama jazaohu inkuntum kathibeena
|  قالوا فما جزاؤه إن كنتم كاذبين
قَالُواْ فَمَا جَزَآؤُهُ إِن كُنتُمْ كَاذِبِينَ |
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| فما - "Then what| جزاؤه - (will be the) recompense (of) it| إن - if| كنتم - you are| كاذبين - liars."| |

| «ውሸታሞች ብትሆኑ ቅጣቱ ምንድን ነው» አሏቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { قالوا } أي المؤذن وأصحابه { فما جزاؤه } أي السارق { إن كنتم كاذبين } في قولكم ما كنا سارقين ووجد فيكم . |
| Nnan: "d acu ay d aqeîîi s, ma teskadbem"? |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বললঃ যদি তোমরা মিথ্যাবাদী হও, তবে যে, চুরি করেছে তার কি শাস্তি? |
| Literal | They said: "So what (is) his reward if you were lying/denying ?" |
| Yusuf Ali | (The Egyptians) said: "What then shall be the penalty of this, if ye are (proved) to have lied?" |
