| 1 [3:152] | Walaqad sadaqakumu AllahuwaAAdahu ith tahussoonahum bi-ithnihi hattaitha fashiltum watanazaAAtum fee al-amri waAAasaytummin baAAdi ma arakum ma tuhibboonaminkum man yureedu alddunya waminkum man yureedual-akhirata thumma sarafakum AAanhum liyabtaliyakumwalaqad AAafa AAankum waAllahu thoofadlin AAala almu/mineena |  ولقد صدقكم الله وعده إذ تحسونهم بإذنه حتى إذا فشلتم وتنازعتم في الأمر وعصيتم من بعد ما أراكم ما تحبون منكم من يريد الدنيا ومنكم من يريد الآخرة ثم صرفكم عنهم ليبتليكم ولقد عفا عنكم والله ذو فضل على المؤمنينوَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّهُ وَعْدَهُ إِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُم بِإِذْنِهِ حَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُم مَّا تُحِبُّونَ مِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرِيدُ الْآخِرَةَ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنكُمْ وَاللّهُ ذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| صدقكم - fulfilled to you| الله - Allah| وعده - His promise,| إذ - when| تحسونهم - you were killing them| بإذنه - by His permission,| حتى - until| إذا - when| فشلتم - you lost courage| وتنازعتم - and you fell into dispute| في - concerning| الأمر - the order| وعصيتم - and you disobeyed| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| أراكم - He (had) shown you| ما - what| تحبون - you love.| منكم - Among you| من - (are some) who| يريد - desire| الدنيا - the world| ومنكم - and among you| من - (are some) who| يريد - desire| الآخرة - the Hereafter.| ثم - Then| صرفكم - He diverted you| عنهم - from them| ليبتليكم - so that He may test you.| ولقد - And surely| عفا - He forgave| عنكم - you.| والله - And Allah| ذو - (is the) Possessor| فضل - (of) Bounty| على - for| المؤمنين - the believers.| | ||||||
| 2 [14:47] | Fala tahsabanna Allahamukhlifa waAAdihi rusulahu inna Allaha AAazeezun thoointiqamin | فلا تحسبن الله مخلف وعده رسله إن الله عزيز ذو انتقام فَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ اللّهَ مُخْلِفَ وَعْدِهِ رُسُلَهُ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَزِيزٌ ذُو انْتِقَامٍ | |||||
| Words | |فلا - So (do) not| تحسبن - think| الله - (that) Allah| مخلف - will fail| وعده - (to) keep His Promise| رسله - (to) His Messengers.| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| عزيز - (is) All-Mighty,| ذو - Owner (of) Retribution.| انتقام - Owner (of) Retribution.| | ||||||
| 3 [19:61] | Jannati AAadnin allatee waAAada alrrahmanuAAibadahu bialghaybi innahu kana waAAduhuma/tiyyan | جنات عدن التي وعد الرحمن عباده بالغيب إنه كان وعده مأتيا جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَنُ عِبَادَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَأْتِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |جنات - Gardens| عدن - (of) Eden,| التي - which| وعد - promised| الرحمن - the Most Gracious| عباده - (to) His slaves| بالغيب - in the unseen.| إنه - Indeed, [it]| كان - is| وعده - His promise| مأتيا - sure to come.| | ||||||
| 4 [22:47] | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwalan yukhlifa Allahu waAAdahu wa-inna yawman AAindarabbika kaalfi sanatin mimma taAAuddoona | ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولن يخلف الله وعده وإن يوما عند ربك كألف سنة مما تعدون وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ | |||||
| Words | |ويستعجلونك - And they ask you to hasten| بالعذاب - the punishment.| ولن - But never will| يخلف - Allah fail| الله - Allah fail| وعده - (in) His Promise.| وإن - And indeed,| يوما - a day| عند - with| ربك - your Lord| كألف - (is) like a thousand| سنة - year(s)| مما - of what| تعدون - you count.| | ||||||
| 5 [30:6] | WaAAda Allahi la yukhlifu AllahuwaAAdahu walakinna akthara alnnasi layaAAlamoona | وعد الله لا يخلف الله وعده ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون وَعْدَ اللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وعد - (It is the) Promise| الله - (of) Allah.| لا - (Does) not| يخلف - fail| الله - Allah| وعده - (in) His promise,| ولكن - but| أكثر - most (of)| الناس - [the] people| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 6 [39:74] | Waqaloo alhamdu lillahiallathee sadaqana waAAdahu waawrathanaal-arda natabawwao mina aljannati haythu nashaofaniAAma ajru alAAamileena | وقالوا الحمد لله الذي صدقنا وعده وأورثنا الأرض نتبوأ من الجنة حيث نشاء فنعم أجر العاملين وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي صَدَقَنَا وَعْدَهُ وَأَوْرَثَنَا الْأَرْضَ نَتَبَوَّأُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَيْثُ نَشَاءُ فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they will say,| الحمد - "All praise| لله - (be) to Allah,| الذي - Who| صدقنا - has fulfilled for us| وعده - His promise| وأورثنا - and has made us inherit| الأرض - the earth,| نتبوأ - we may settle| من - [from]| الجنة - (in) Paradise| حيث - wherever| نشاء - we wish.| فنعم - So excellent| أجر - (is the) reward| العاملين - (of) the workers."| | ||||||
| 7 [73:18] | Alssamao munfatirunbihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoolan | السماء منفطر به كان وعده مفعولا السَّمَاءُ مُنفَطِرٌ بِهِ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَفْعُولًا | |||||
| Words | |السماء - The heaven| منفطر - (will) break apart| به - therefrom,| كان - is| وعده - His Promise| مفعولا - to be fulfilled.| | ||||||
