| 1 [2:170] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma alfaynaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana abaohumla yaAAqiloona shay-an wala yahtadoona |  وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما ألفينا عليه آباءنا أولو كان آباؤهم لا يعقلون شيئا ولا يهتدونوَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ قَالُواْ بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا أَلْفَيْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ آبَاؤُهُمْ لاَ يَعْقِلُونَ شَيْئاً وَلاَ يَهْتَدُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| قيل - it is said| لهم - to them,| اتبعوا - "Follow| ما - what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah,"| قالوا - they said,| بل - "Nay| نتبع - we follow| ما - what| ألفينا - we found| عليه - [on it]| آباءنا - our forefathers (following)".| أولو - Even though| كان - [were]| آباؤهم - their forefathers| لا - (did) not| يعقلون - understand| شيئا - anything| ولا - and not| يهتدون - were they guided?| | ||||||
| 2 [26:40] | LaAAallana nattabiAAu alssaharatain kanoo humu alghalibeena | لعلنا نتبع السحرة إن كانوا هم الغالبين لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ | |||||
| Words | |لعلنا - That we may| نتبع - follow| السحرة - the magicians| إن - if| كانوا - they are| هم - they are| الغالبين - the victorious?"| | ||||||
| 3 [28:57] | Waqaloo in nattabiAAi alhudamaAAaka nutakhattaf min ardina awa lamnumakkin lahum haraman aminan yujba ilayhithamaratu kulli shay-in rizqan min ladunna walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoona | وقالوا إن نتبع الهدى معك نتخطف من أرضنا أولم نمكن لهم حرما آمنا يجبى إليه ثمرات كل شيء رزقا من لدنا ولكن أكثرهم لا يعلمون وَقَالُوا إِن نَّتَّبِعِ الْهُدَى مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَا أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّهُمْ حَرَمًا آمِنًا يُجْبَى إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَاتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رِزْقًا مِن لَّدُنَّا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وقالوا - And they say,| إن - "If| نتبع - we follow| الهدى - the guidance| معك - with you,| نتخطف - we would be swept| من - from| أرضنا - our land."| أولم - Have not| نمكن - We established| لهم - for them| حرما - a sanctuary| آمنا - secure,| يجبى - are brought| إليه - to it| ثمرات - fruits| كل - (of) all| شيء - things,| رزقا - a provision| من - from| لدنا - Us?| ولكن - But| أكثرهم - most of them| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 4 [31:21] | Wa-itha qeela lahumu ittabiAAoo maanzala Allahu qaloo bal nattabiAAu ma wajadnaAAalayhi abaana awa law kana alshshaytanuyadAAoohum ila AAathabi alssaAAeeri | وإذا قيل لهم اتبعوا ما أنزل الله قالوا بل نتبع ما وجدنا عليه آباءنا أولو كان الشيطان يدعوهم إلى عذاب السعير وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا أَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ | |||||
