| 1 [12:17] | Qaloo ya abanainna thahabna nastabiqu wataraknayoosufa AAinda mataAAina faakalahu alththi/buwama anta bimu/minin lana walaw kunna sadiqeena |  قالوا يا أبانا إنا ذهبنا نستبق وتركنا يوسف عند متاعنا فأكله الذئب وما أنت بمؤمن لنا ولو كنا صادقينقَالُواْ يَا أَبَانَا إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَاعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لِّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| أبانا - "O our father!| إنا - Indeed, we| ذهبنا - [we] went| نستبق - racing each other| وتركنا - and we left| يوسف - Yusuf| عند - with| متاعنا - our possessions,| فأكله - and ate him| الذئب - the wolf.| وما - But not| أنت - you| بمؤمن - (will) believe| لنا - us,| ولو - even if| كنا - we are| صادقين - truthful."| | ||||||
| 2 [12:79] | Qala maAAatha Allahi anna/khutha illa man wajadna mataAAanaAAindahu inna ithan lathalimoona | قال معاذ الله أن نأخذ إلا من وجدنا متاعنا عنده إنا إذا لظالمون قَالَ مَعَاذَ اللّهِ أَن نَّأْخُذَ إِلاَّ مَن وَجَدْنَا مَتَاعَنَا عِندَهُ إِنَّـآ إِذًا لَّظَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| معاذ - "Allah forbid| الله - "Allah forbid| أن - that| نأخذ - we take| إلا - except| من - (one) who,| وجدنا - we found| متاعنا - our possession| عنده - with him.| إنا - Indeed, we| إذا - then| لظالمون - surely (would be) wrongdoers."| | ||||||
