| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[12:17] | Qaloo ya abanainna thahabna nastabiqu wataraknayoosufa AAinda mataAAina faakalahu alththi/buwama anta bimu/minin lana walaw kunna sadiqeena
|  قالوا يا أبانا إنا ذهبنا نستبق وتركنا يوسف عند متاعنا فأكله الذئب وما أنت بمؤمن لنا ولو كنا صادقين
قَالُواْ يَا أَبَانَا إِنَّا ذَهَبْنَا نَسْتَبِقُ وَتَرَكْنَا يُوسُفَ عِندَ مَتَاعِنَا فَأَكَلَهُ الذِّئْبُ وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُؤْمِنٍ لِّنَا وَلَوْ كُنَّا صَادِقِينَ |
| Words | |قالوا - They said,| يا - O| أبانا - "O our father!| إنا - Indeed, we| ذهبنا - [we] went| نستبق - racing each other| وتركنا - and we left| يوسف - Yusuf| عند - with| متاعنا - our possessions,| فأكله - and ate him| الذئب - the wolf.| وما - But not| أنت - you| بمؤمن - (will) believe| لنا - us,| ولو - even if| كنا - we are| صادقين - truthful."| |

| «አባታችን ሆይ! እኛ (ለሩጫና ለውርወራ) ልንሽቀዳደም ሌድን፡፡ ዩሱፍንም ዕቃችን ዘንድ ተውነው፡፡ ወዲያውም ተኩላ በላው፡፡ አንተም እውነተኞች ብንሆንም የምታምነን አይደለህም» አሉ፡፡ |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তারা বললঃ পিতাঃ আমরা দৌড় প্রতিযোগিতা করতে গিয়েছিলাম এবং ইউসুফকে আসবাব-পত্রের কাছে রেখে গিয়েছিলাম। অতঃপর তাকে বাঘে খেয়ে ফেলেছে। আপনি তো আমাদেরকে বিশ্বাস করবেন না, যদিও আমরা সত্যবাদী। |
