| 1 [15:81] | Waataynahum ayatinafakanoo AAanha muAArideena |  وآتيناهم آياتنا فكانوا عنها معرضينوَآتَيْنَاهُمْ آيَاتِنَا فَكَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وآتيناهم - And We gave them| آياتنا - Our Signs,| فكانوا - but they were| عنها - from them| معرضين - turning away.| | ||||||
| 2 [23:48] | Fakaththaboohuma fakanoomina almuhlakeena | فكذبوهما فكانوا من المهلكين فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فكذبوهما - So they denied them| فكانوا - and they became| من - of| المهلكين - those who were destroyed.| | ||||||
| 3 [37:116] | Wanasarnahum fakanoohumu alghalibeena | ونصرناهم فكانوا هم الغالبين وَنَصَرْنَاهُمْ فَكَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ونصرناهم - And We helped them,| فكانوا - so they became| هم - so they became| الغالبين - the victors.| | ||||||
| 4 [54:31] | Inna arsalna AAalayhim sayhatanwahidatan fakanoo kahasheemi almuhtathiri | إنا أرسلنا عليهم صيحة واحدة فكانوا كهشيم المحتظر إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ | |||||
| Words | |إنا - Indeed, We| أرسلنا - [We] sent| عليهم - upon them| صيحة - thunderous blast| واحدة - single,| فكانوا - and they became| كهشيم - like dry twig fragments| المحتظر - (used by) a fence builder.| | ||||||
| 5 [72:15] | Waama alqasitoona fakanoolijahannama hataban | وأما القاسطون فكانوا لجهنم حطبا وَأَمَّا الْقَاسِطُونَ فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا | |||||
| Words | |وأما - And as for| القاسطون - the unjust,| فكانوا - they will be,| لجهنم - for Hell,| حطبا - firewood."| | ||||||
