| 1 [5:59] | Qul ya ahla alkitabi haltanqimoona minna illa an amanna biAllahiwama onzila ilayna wama onzila min qabluwaanna aktharakum fasiqoona |  قل يا أهل الكتاب هل تنقمون منا إلا أن آمنا بالله وما أنزل إلينا وما أنزل من قبل وأن أكثركم فاسقونقُلْ يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ هَلْ تَنقِمُونَ مِنَّا إِلاَّ أَنْ آمَنَّا بِاللّهِ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلُ وَأَنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| يا - O| أهل - "O People| الكتاب - (of) the Book!| هل - Do| تنقمون - you resent| منا - [of] us| إلا - except| أن - that| آمنا - we believe| بالله - in Allah| وما - and what| أنزل - has been revealed| إلينا - to us| وما - and what| أنزل - was revealed| من - from| قبل - before,| وأن - and that| أكثركم - most of you| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient."| | ||||||
| 2 [5:81] | Walaw kanoo yu/minoona biAllahiwaalnnabiyyi wama onzila ilayhi ma ittakhathoohumawliyaa walakinna katheeran minhum fasiqoona | ولو كانوا يؤمنون بالله والنبي وما أنزل إليه ما اتخذوهم أولياء ولكن كثيرا منهم فاسقون وَلَوْ كَانُوا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالله والنَّبِيِّ وَمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا اتَّخَذُوهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَـكِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - And if| كانوا - they had| يؤمنون - believed| بالله - in Allah| والنبي - and the Prophet| وما - and what| أنزل - has been revealed| إليه - to him,| ما - not| اتخذوهم - they (would have) taken them| أولياء - (as) allies;| ولكن - [and] but| كثيرا - many| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 3 [9:8] | Kayfa wa-in yathharoo AAalaykumla yarquboo feekum illan wala thimmatan yurdoonakumbi-afwahihim wata/ba quloobuhum waaktharuhum fasiqoona | كيف وإن يظهروا عليكم لا يرقبوا فيكم إلا ولا ذمة يرضونكم بأفواههم وتأبى قلوبهم وأكثرهم فاسقون كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا عَلَيْكُمْ لاَ يَرْقُبُواْ فِيكُمْ إِلاًّ وَلاَ ذِمَّةً يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَى قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |كيف - How| وإن - while, if| يظهروا - they gain dominance| عليكم - over you| لا - they do not regard (the ties)| يرقبوا - they do not regard (the ties)| فيكم - with you| إلا - (of) kinship| ولا - and not| ذمة - covenant of protection?| يرضونكم - They satisfy you| بأفواههم - with their mouths| وتأبى - but refuse,| قلوبهم - their hearts| وأكثرهم - and most of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 4 [9:84] | Wala tusalli AAala ahadinminhum mata abadan wala taqum AAala qabrihiinnahum kafaroo biAllahi warasoolihi wamatoowahum fasiqoona | ولا تصل على أحد منهم مات أبدا ولا تقم على قبره إنهم كفروا بالله ورسوله وماتوا وهم فاسقون وَلاَ تُصَلِّ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُم مَّاتَ أَبَدًا وَلاَ تَقُمْ عَلَىَ قَبْرِه إِنَّهُمْ كَفَرُواْ بِاللّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And not| تصل - you pray| على - for| أحد - any| منهم - of them| مات - who dies,| أبدا - ever,| ولا - and not| تقم - you stand| على - by| قبره - his grave.| إنهم - Indeed, they| كفروا - disbelieved| بالله - in Allah| ورسوله - and His Messenger,| وماتوا - and died| وهم - while they were| فاسقون - defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 5 [57:16] | Alam ya/ni lillatheena amanooan takhshaAAa quloobuhum lithikri Allahi wamanazala mina alhaqqi wala yakoonoo kaallatheenaootoo alkitaba min qablu fatala AAalayhimu al-amadufaqasat quloobuhum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona | ألم يأن للذين آمنوا أن تخشع قلوبهم لذكر الله وما نزل من الحق ولا يكونوا كالذين أوتوا الكتاب من قبل فطال عليهم الأمد فقست قلوبهم وكثير منهم فاسقون أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ألم - Has not| يأن - come (the) time| للذين - for those who| آمنوا - believed| أن - that| تخشع - become humble| قلوبهم - their hearts| لذكر - at (the) remembrance (of) Allah| الله - at (the) remembrance (of) Allah| وما - and what| نزل - has come down| من - of| الحق - the truth?| ولا - And not| يكونوا - they become| كالذين - like those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| من - before,| قبل - before,| فطال - (and) was prolonged| عليهم - for them| الأمد - the term,| فقست - so hardened| قلوبهم - their hearts;| وكثير - and many| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 6 [57:26] | Walaqad arsalna noohan wa-ibraheemawajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihima alnnubuwwatawaalkitaba faminhum muhtadin wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona | ولقد أرسلنا نوحا وإبراهيم وجعلنا في ذريتهما النبوة والكتاب فمنهم مهتد وكثير منهم فاسقون وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And certainly| أرسلنا - We sent| نوحا - Nuh| وإبراهيم - and Ibrahim,| وجعلنا - and We placed| في - in| ذريتهما - their offspring| النبوة - Prophethood| والكتاب - and the Scripture;| فمنهم - and among them| مهتد - (is) a guided one,| وكثير - but most| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobediently.| | ||||||
| 7 [57:27] | Thumma qaffayna AAala atharihimbirusulina waqaffayna biAAeesa ibni maryamawaataynahu al-injeela wajaAAalna fee quloobiallatheena ittabaAAoohu ra/fatan warahmatan warahbaniyyatanibtadaAAooha ma katabnaha AAalayhimilla ibtighaa ridwani Allahifama raAAawha haqqa riAAayatihafaatayna allatheena amanoo minhumajrahum wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona | ثم قفينا على آثارهم برسلنا وقفينا بعيسى ابن مريم وآتيناه الإنجيل وجعلنا في قلوب الذين اتبعوه رأفة ورحمة ورهبانية ابتدعوها ما كتبناها عليهم إلا ابتغاء رضوان الله فما رعوها حق رعايتها فآتينا الذين آمنوا منهم أجرهم وكثير منهم فاسقون ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَى آثَارِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ رِضْوَانِ اللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا فَآتَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ثم - Then| قفينا - We sent| على - on| آثارهم - their footsteps| برسلنا - Our Messengers| وقفينا - and We followed| بعيسى - with Isa,| ابن - son| مريم - (of) Maryam,| وآتيناه - and We gave him| الإنجيل - the Injeel.| وجعلنا - And We placed| في - in| قلوب - (the) hearts| الذين - (of) those who| اتبعوه - followed him| رأفة - compassion| ورحمة - and mercy.| ورهبانية - But monasticism| ابتدعوها - they innovated -| ما - not| كتبناها - We prescribed it| عليهم - for them -| إلا - only| ابتغاء - seeking| رضوان - (the) pleasure| الله - (of) Allah,| فما - but not| رعوها - they observed it| حق - (with) right| رعايتها - observance.| فآتينا - So We gave| الذين - those who| آمنوا - believed| منهم - among them| أجرهم - their reward,| وكثير - but most| منهم - of them| فاسقون - (are) defiantly disobediently.| | ||||||
