| 1 [3:135] | Waallatheena ithafaAAaloo fahishatan aw thalamoo anfusahum thakarooAllaha faistaghfaroo lithunoobihim wamanyaghfiru alththunooba illa Allahuwalam yusirroo AAala ma faAAaloo wahumyaAAlamoona |  والذين إذا فعلوا فاحشة أو ظلموا أنفسهم ذكروا الله فاستغفروا لذنوبهم ومن يغفر الذنوب إلا الله ولم يصروا على ما فعلوا وهم يعلمونوَالَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَاحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُواْ أَنْفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُواْ اللّهَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَن يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ اللّهُ وَلَمْ يُصِرُّواْ عَلَى مَا فَعَلُواْ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those| إذا - when| فعلوا - they did| فاحشة - immorality| أو - or| ظلموا - wronged| أنفسهم - themselves -| ذكروا - they remember| الله - Allah| فاستغفروا - then ask forgiveness| لذنوبهم - for their sins -| ومن - and who| يغفر - (can) forgive| الذنوب - the sins| إلا - except| الله - Allah?| ولم - And not| يصروا - they persist| على - on| ما - what| فعلوا - they did| وهم - while they| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
| 2 [4:22] | Wala tankihoo ma nakahaabaokum mina alnnisa-i illa maqad salafa innahu kana fahishatan wamaqtan wasaasabeelan | ولا تنكحوا ما نكح آباؤكم من النساء إلا ما قد سلف إنه كان فاحشة ومقتا وساء سبيلا وَلاَ تَنكِحُواْ مَا نَكَحَ آبَاؤُكُم مِّنَ النِّسَاءِ إِلاَّ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَمَقْتًا وَسَاءَ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تنكحوا - marry| ما - whom| نكح - married| آباؤكم - your fathers| من - of| النساء - the women| إلا - except| ما - what| قد - has| سلف - passed before,| إنه - indeed it| كان - was| فاحشة - an immorality| ومقتا - and hateful,| وساء - and (an) evil| سبيلا - way.| | ||||||
| 3 [7:28] | Wa-itha faAAaloo fahishatan qaloowajadna AAalayha abaana waAllahuamarana biha qul inna Allaha laya/muru bialfahsha-i ataqooloona AAalaAllahi ma la taAAlamoona | وإذا فعلوا فاحشة قالوا وجدنا عليها آباءنا والله أمرنا بها قل إن الله لا يأمر بالفحشاء أتقولون على الله ما لا تعلمون وَإِذَا فَعَلُواْ فَاحِشَةً قَالُواْ وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهَا آبَاءَنَا وَاللّهُ أَمَرَنَا بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ أَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| فعلوا - they do| فاحشة - immorality| قالوا - they say,| وجدنا - "We found| عليها - on it| آباءنا - our forefathers| والله - and Allah| أمرنا - (has) ordered us| بها - of it."| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يأمر - order| بالفحشاء - immorality.| أتقولون - Do you say| على - about| الله - Allah| ما - what| لا - not| تعلمون - you know?"| | ||||||
| 4 [17:32] | Wala taqraboo alzzinainnahu kana fahishatan wasaa sabeelan | ولا تقربوا الزنا إنه كان فاحشة وساء سبيلا وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الزِّنَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلاً | |||||
| Words | |ولا - And (do) not| تقربوا - go near| الزنا - adultery.| إنه - Indeed, it| كان - is| فاحشة - an immorality| وساء - and (an) evil| سبيلا - way.| | ||||||
