| 1 [3:40] | Qala rabbi anna yakoonu leeghulamun waqad balaghaniya alkibaru waimraatee AAaqirunqala kathalika Allahu yafAAalu mayasha/o |  قال رب أنى يكون لي غلام وقد بلغني الكبر وامرأتي عاقر قال كذلك الله يفعل ما يشاءقَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَمٌ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِيَ الْكِبَرُ وَامْرَأَتِي عَاقِرٌ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ اللّهُ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord| أنى - how| يكون - can (there) be| لي - for me| غلام - a son,| وقد - and verily| بلغني - has reached me| الكبر - [the] old age| وامرأتي - and my wife| عاقر - (is) [a] barren?"| قال - He said,| كذلك - "Thus;| الله - Allah| يفعل - does| ما - what| يشاء - He wills."| | ||||||
| 2 [12:19] | Wajaat sayyaratun faarsaloo waridahumfaadla dalwahu qala ya bushra hathaghulamun waasarroohu bidaAAatan waAllahuAAaleemun bima yaAAmaloona | وجاءت سيارة فأرسلوا واردهم فأدلى دلوه قال يا بشرى هذا غلام وأسروه بضاعة والله عليم بما يعملون وَجَاءَتْ سَيَّارَةٌ فَأَرْسَلُواْ وَارِدَهُمْ فَأَدْلَى دَلْوَهُ قَالَ يَا بُشْرَى هَـذَا غُلاَمٌ وَأَسَرُّوهُ بِضَاعَةً وَاللّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وجاءت - And there came| سيارة - a caravan| فأرسلوا - and they sent| واردهم - their water drawer| فأدلى - then he let down| دلوه - his bucket.| قال - He said,| يا - O| بشرى - "O good news!| هذا - This| غلام - (is) a boy."| وأسروه - And they hid him| بضاعة - (as) a merchandise.| والله - And Allah| عليم - (is) All-Knower| بما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 3 [19:8] | Qala rabbi anna yakoonu leeghulamun wakanati imraatee AAaqiran waqadbalaghtu mina alkibari AAitiyyan | قال رب أنى يكون لي غلام وكانت امرأتي عاقرا وقد بلغت من الكبر عتيا قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَمٌ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| رب - "My Lord!| أنى - How| يكون - can| لي - I have| غلام - a boy,| وكانت - while is| امرأتي - my wife| عاقرا - barren,| وقد - and indeed,| بلغت - I have reached| من - of| الكبر - the old age| عتيا - extreme?"| | ||||||
| 4 [19:20] | Qalat anna yakoonu lee ghulamunwalam yamsasnee basharun walam aku baghiyyan | قالت أنى يكون لي غلام ولم يمسسني بشر ولم أك بغيا قَالَتْ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَمٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |قالت - She said,| أنى - "How| يكون - can be| لي - for me| غلام - a son,| ولم - when not| يمسسني - has touched me| بشر - a man,| ولم - and not| أك - I am| بغيا - unchaste?"| | ||||||
