| 1 [7:117] | Waawhayna ila moosaan alqi AAasaka fa-itha hiya talqafu maya/fikoona |  وأوحينا إلى موسى أن ألق عصاك فإذا هي تلقف ما يأفكونوَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأوحينا - And We inspired| إلى - to| موسى - Musa| أن - that,| ألق - "Throw| عصاك - your staff,"| فإذا - and suddenly| هي - it| تلقف - swallow(ed)| ما - what| يأفكون - they (were) falsifying.| | ||||||
| 2 [20:69] | Waalqi ma fee yameenika talqaf masanaAAoo innama sanaAAoo kaydu sahirinwala yuflihu alssahiru haythuata | وألق ما في يمينك تلقف ما صنعوا إنما صنعوا كيد ساحر ولا يفلح الساحر حيث أتى وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوا إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَى | |||||
| Words | |وألق - And throw| ما - what| في - (is) in| يمينك - your right hand;| تلقف - it will swallow up| ما - what| صنعوا - they have made.| إنما - Only| صنعوا - they (have) made| كيد - a trick| ساحر - (of) a magician| ولا - and not| يفلح - will be successful| الساحر - the magician| حيث - wherever| أتى - he comes."| | ||||||
