| 3 [6:56] | Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi qul la attabiAAu ahwaakumqad dalaltu ithan wama ana minaalmuhtadeena | قل إني نهيت أن أعبد الذين تدعون من دون الله قل لا أتبع أهواءكم قد ضللت إذا وما أنا من المهتدين قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قُل لاَّ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَاءَكُمْ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| إني - "Indeed I| نهيت - [I] am forbidden| أن - that| أعبد - I worship| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you call| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah."| قل - Say,| لا - "Not| أتبع - I follow| أهواءكم - your (vain) desires,| قد - certainly| ضللت - I would go astray| إذا - then,| وما - and not| أنا - I (would be)| من - from| المهتدين - the guided-ones."| | ||||||
| 4 [7:37] | Faman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththababi-ayatihi ola-ika yanaluhum naseebuhummina alkitabi hatta itha jaat-humrusuluna yatawaffawnahum qaloo ayna makuntum tadAAoona min dooni Allahi qaloo dallooAAanna washahidoo AAala anfusihim annahum kanookafireena | فمن أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا أو كذب بآياته أولئك ينالهم نصيبهم من الكتاب حتى إذا جاءتهم رسلنا يتوفونهم قالوا أين ما كنتم تدعون من دون الله قالوا ضلوا عنا وشهدوا على أنفسهم أنهم كانوا كافرين فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ أُوْلَـئِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُم مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُواْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قَالُواْ ضَلُّواْ عَنَّا وَشَهِدُواْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ كَافِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فمن - Then who| أظلم - (is) more unjust| ممن - than (one) who| افترى - invented| على - against| الله - Allah| كذبا - a lie| أو - or| كذب - denies| بآياته - His Verses?| أولئك - Those -| ينالهم - will reach them| نصيبهم - their portion| من - from| الكتاب - the Book,| حتى - until| إذا - when| جاءتهم - comes to them| رسلنا - Our messengers (Angels)| يتوفونهم - (to) take them in death| قالوا - they say,| أين - "Where are| ما - those (whom)| كنتم - you used to| تدعون - invoke| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah?"| قالوا - They say,| ضلوا - "They strayed| عنا - from us,"| وشهدوا - and they (will) testify| على - against| أنفسهم - themselves| أنهم - that they| كانوا - were| كافرين - disbelievers.| | ||||||
| 5 [7:194] | Inna allatheena tadAAoona min dooniAllahi AAibadun amthalukum faodAAoohumfalyastajeeboo lakum in kuntum sadiqeena | إن الذين تدعون من دون الله عباد أمثالكم فادعوهم فليستجيبوا لكم إن كنتم صادقين إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ عِبَادٌ أَمْثَالُكُمْ فَادْعُوهُمْ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُواْ لَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |إن - Indeed,| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you call| من - from| دون - besides| الله - Allah| عباد - (are) slaves| أمثالكم - like you.| فادعوهم - So invoke them| فليستجيبوا - and let them respond| لكم - to you,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| صادقين - truthful.| | ||||||
| 6 [7:197] | Waallatheena tadAAoona mindoonihi la yastateeAAoona nasrakum walaanfusahum yansuroona | والذين تدعون من دونه لا يستطيعون نصركم ولا أنفسهم ينصرون وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَكُمْ وَلَآ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَنْصُرُونَ | |||||
| Words | |والذين - And those whom| تدعون - you invoke| من - from| دونه - besides Him,| لا - not| يستطيعون - they are able| نصركم - (to) help you| ولا - and not| أنفسهم - themselves| ينصرون - can they help.| | ||||||
| 7 [17:67] | Wa-itha massakumu alddurrufee albahri dalla man tadAAoona illa iyyahufalamma najjakum ila albarri aAAradtumwakana al-insanu kafooran | وإذا مسكم الضر في البحر ضل من تدعون إلا إياه فلما نجاكم إلى البر أعرضتم وكان الإنسان كفورا وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الْضُّرُّ فِي الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلاَّ إِيَّاهُ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاكُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ أَعْرَضْتُمْ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ كَفُورًا | |||||
| Words | |وإذا - And when| مسكم - touches you| الضر - the hardship| في - in| البحر - the sea,| ضل - lost| من - (are) who| تدعون - you call| إلا - except| إياه - Him Alone.| فلما - But when| نجاكم - He delivers you| إلى - to| البر - the land| أعرضتم - you turn away.| وكان - And is| الإنسان - man| كفورا - ungrateful.| | ||||||
| 8 [19:48] | WaaAAtazilukum wama tadAAoona mindooni Allahi waadAAoo rabbee AAasa allaakoona biduAAa-i rabbee shaqiyyan | وأعتزلكم وما تدعون من دون الله وأدعو ربي عسى ألا أكون بدعاء ربي شقيا وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَأَدْعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَى أَلاَّ أَكُونَ بِدُعَاءِ رَبِّي شَقِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |وأعتزلكم - And I will leave you| وما - and what| تدعون - you invoke| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah| وأدعو - and I will invoke| ربي - my Lord.| عسى - May be| ألا - that not| أكون - I will be| بدعاء - in invocation| ربي - (to) my Lord| شقيا - unblessed."| | ||||||
| 9 [22:73] | Ya ayyuha alnnasuduriba mathalun faistamiAAoo lahu inna allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi lan yakhluqoo thubabanwalawi ijtamaAAoo lahu wa-in yaslubuhumu alththubabushay-an la yastanqithoohu minhu daAAufa alttalibuwaalmatloobu | يا أيها الناس ضرب مثل فاستمعوا له إن الذين تدعون من دون الله لن يخلقوا ذبابا ولو اجتمعوا له وإن يسلبهم الذباب شيئا لا يستنقذوه منه ضعف الطالب والمطلوب يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَن يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ وَإِن يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَّا يَسْتَنقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| أيها - O mankind!| الناس - O mankind!| ضرب - Is set forth| مثل - an example,| فاستمعوا - so listen| له - to it.| إن - Indeed,| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you invoke| من - besides Allah| دون - besides Allah| الله - besides Allah| لن - will never| يخلقوا - create| ذبابا - a fly| ولو - even if| اجتمعوا - they gathered together| له - for it.| وإن - And if| يسلبهم - snatched away from them| الذباب - the fly| شيئا - a thing| لا - not| يستنقذوه - they (could) take it back| منه - from it.| ضعف - So weak| الطالب - (are) the seeker| والمطلوب - and the one who is sought.| | ||||||
| 10 [26:72] | Qala hal yasmaAAoonakum ithtadAAoona | قال هل يسمعونكم إذ تدعون قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ | |||||

| 11 [35:13] | Yooliju allayla fee alnnahariwayooliju alnnahara fee allayli wasakhkhara alshshamsawaalqamara kullun yajree li-ajalin musamman thalikumuAllahu rabbukum lahu almulku waallatheenatadAAoona min doonihi ma yamlikoona min qitmeerin | يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وسخر الشمس والقمر كل يجري لأجل مسمى ذلكم الله ربكم له الملك والذين تدعون من دونه ما يملكون من قطمير يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِن قِطْمِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |يولج - He causes to enter| الليل - the night| في - in (to)| النهار - the day| ويولج - and He causes to enter| النهار - the day| في - in (to)| الليل - the night,| وسخر - and He has subjected| الشمس - the sun| والقمر - and the moon| كل - each| يجري - running| لأجل - for a term| مسمى - appointed.| ذلكم - That (is)| الله - Allah,| ربكم - your Lord,| له - for Him| الملك - (is) the Dominion.| والذين - And those whom| تدعون - you invoke| من - besides Him,| دونه - besides Him,| ما - not| يملكون - they possess| من - even| قطمير - (as much as) the membrane of a date-seed.| | ||||||
| 12 [35:40] | Qul araaytum shurakaakumu allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi aroonee matha khalaqoomina al-ardi am lahum shirkun fee alssamawatiam ataynahum kitaban fahum AAalabayyinatin minhu bal in yaAAidu alththalimoonabaAAduhum baAAdan illa ghurooran | قل أرأيتم شركاءكم الذين تدعون من دون الله أروني ماذا خلقوا من الأرض أم لهم شرك في السماوات أم آتيناهم كتابا فهم على بينت منه بل إن يعد الظالمون بعضهم بعضا إلا غرورا قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ شُرَكَاءَكُمُ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا فَهُمْ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّنْهُ بَلْ إِن يَعِدُ الظَّالِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا | |||||
| Words | |قل - Say,| أرأيتم - "Have you seen| شركاءكم - your partners| الذين - those whom| تدعون - you call| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah?"| أروني - Show Me| ماذا - what| خلقوا - they have created| من - from| الأرض - the earth,| أم - or| لهم - for them| شرك - (is) a share| في - in| السماوات - the heavens.| أم - Or| آتيناهم - have We given them| كتابا - a Book| فهم - so they| على - (are) on| بينت - a clear proof| منه - therefrom?| بل - Nay,| إن - not| يعد - promise| الظالمون - the wrongdoers| بعضهم - some of them| بعضا - (to) others| إلا - except| غرورا - delusion.| | ||||||
| 13 [39:38] | Wala-in saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda layaqoolunna Allahu qul afaraaytumma tadAAoona min dooni Allahi in aradaniyaAllahu bidurrin hal hunna kashifatu durrihiaw aradanee birahmatin hal hunna mumsikaturahmatihi qul hasbiya Allahu AAalayhiyatawakkalu almutawakkiloona | ولئن سألتهم من خلق السماوات والأرض ليقولن الله قل أفرأيتم ما تدعون من دون الله إن أرادني الله بضر هل هن كاشفات ضره أو أرادني برحمة هل هن ممسكات رحمته قل حسبي الله عليه يتوكل المتوكلون وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ قُلْ أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِيَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَاشِفَاتُ ضُرِّهِ أَوْ أَرَادَنِيَ بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَاتُ رَحْمَتِهِ قُلْ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And if| سألتهم - you ask them| من - who| خلق - created| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth?| ليقولن - Surely, they will say,| الله - "Allah."| قل - Say,| أفرأيتم - "Then do you see| ما - what| تدعون - you invoke| من - besides| دون - besides| الله - Allah?| إن - if| أرادني - Allah intended for me| الله - Allah intended for me| بضر - harm,| هل - are| هن - they| كاشفات - removers| ضره - (of) harm (from) Him;| أو - or| أرادني - if He intended for me| برحمة - mercy,| هل - are| هن - they| ممسكات - withholders| رحمته - (of) His mercy?"| قل - Say,| حسبي - "Sufficient (is) Allah for me;| الله - "Sufficient (is) Allah for me;| عليه - upon Him| يتوكل - put trust| المتوكلون - those who trust."| | ||||||
| 14 [40:10] | Inna allatheena kafaroo yunadawnalamaqtu Allahi akbaru min maqtikum anfusakum ithtudAAawna ila al-eemani fatakfuroona | إن الذين كفروا ينادون لمقت الله أكبر من مقتكم أنفسكم إذ تدعون إلى الإيمان فتكفرون إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُنَادَوْنَ لَمَقْتُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ مِن مَّقْتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ إِذْ تُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى الْإِيْمَانِ فَتَكْفُرُونَ | |||||

| 15 [40:66] | Qul innee nuheetu an aAAbuda allatheenatadAAoona min dooni Allahi lamma jaaniyaalbayyinatu min rabbee waomirtu an oslima lirabbi alAAalameena | قل إني نهيت أن أعبد الذين تدعون من دون الله لما جاءني البينات من ربي وأمرت أن أسلم لرب العالمين قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِن رَّبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ | |||||

| 16 [41:31] | Nahnu awliyaokum fee alhayatialddunya wafee al-akhirati walakum feehama tashtahee anfusukum walakum feeha mataddaAAoona | نحن أولياؤكم في الحياة الدنيا وفي الآخرة ولكم فيها ما تشتهي أنفسكم ولكم فيها ما تدعون نَحْنُ أَوْلِيَاؤُكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِي أَنفُسُكُمْ وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَا تَدَّعُونَ | |||||

| 17 [46:4] | Qul araaytum ma tadAAoona min dooniAllahi aroonee matha khalaqoo mina al-ardiam lahum shirkun fee alssamawati eetooneebikitabin min qabli hatha aw atharatin minAAilmin in kuntum sadiqeena | قل أرأيتم ما تدعون من دون الله أروني ماذا خلقوا من الأرض أم لهم شرك في السماوات ائتوني بكتاب من قبل هذا أو أثارة من علم إن كنتم صادقين قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ اِئْتُونِي بِكِتَابٍ مِّن قَبْلِ هَذَا أَوْ أَثَارَةٍ مِّنْ عِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ | |||||

| 18 [47:38] | Ha antum haola-itudAAawna litunfiqoo fee sabeeli Allahi faminkum manyabkhalu waman yabkhal fa-innama yabkhalu AAan nafsihi waAllahualghaniyyu waantumu alfuqarao wa-in tatawallaw yastabdilqawman ghayrakum thumma la yakoonoo amthalakum | ها أنتم هؤلاء تدعون لتنفقوا في سبيل الله فمنكم من يبخل ومن يبخل فإنما يبخل عن نفسه والله الغني وأنتم الفقراء وإن تتولوا يستبدل قوما غيركم ثم لا يكونوا أمثالكم هَاأَنتُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ تُدْعَوْنَ لِتُنفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَمِنكُم مَّن يَبْخَلُ وَمَن يَبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَن نَّفْسِهِ وَاللَّهُ الْغَنِيُّ وَأَنتُمُ الْفُقَرَاءُ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ | |||||
| Words | |ها - Here| أنتم - You are| هؤلاء - these,| تدعون - called| لتنفقوا - to spend| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah -| فمنكم - but among you| من - (are some) who| يبخل - withhold,| ومن - and whoever| يبخل - withholds,| فإنما - then only| يبخل - he withholds| عن - from| نفسه - himself.| والله - But Allah| الغني - (is) Free of need,| وأنتم - while you| الفقراء - (are) the needy.| وإن - And if| تتولوا - you turn away| يستبدل - He will replace you| قوما - (with) a people| غيركم - other than you,| ثم - then| لا - not| يكونوا - they will be| أمثالكم - (the) likes of you.| | ||||||
| 19 [67:27] | Falamma raawhu zulfatan see-atwujoohu allatheena kafaroo waqeela hatha allatheekuntum bihi taddaAAoona | فلما رأوه زلفة سيئت وجوه الذين كفروا وقيل هذا الذي كنتم به تدعون فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ | |||||
