| 1 [2:63] | Wa-ith akhathna meethaqakumwarafaAAna fawqakumu alttoora khuthooma ataynakum biquwwatin waothkurooma feehi laAAallakum tattaqoona |  وإذ أخذنا ميثاقكم ورفعنا فوقكم الطور خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واذكروا ما فيه لعلكم تتقونوَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيْثَاقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاذْكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذنا - We took| ميثاقكم - your covenant| ورفعنا - and We raised| فوقكم - over you| الطور - the mount,| خذوا - "Hold| ما - what| آتيناكم - We have given you| بقوة - with strength,| واذكروا - and remember| ما - what| فيه - (is) in it,| لعلكم - perhaps you| تتقون - (would become) righteous."| | ||||||
| 2 [2:93] | Wa-ith akhathna meethaqakumwarafaAAna fawqakumu alttoora khuthooma ataynakum biquwwatin waismaAAoo qaloosamiAAna waAAasayna waoshriboo feequloobihimu alAAijla bikufrihim qul bi/sama ya/murukumbihi eemanukum in kuntum mu/mineena | وإذ أخذنا ميثاقكم ورفعنا فوقكم الطور خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واسمعوا قالوا سمعنا وعصينا وأشربوا في قلوبهم العجل بكفرهم قل بئسما يأمركم به إيمانكم إن كنتم مؤمنين وَإِذْ أَخَذْنَا مِيثَاقَكُمْ وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطُّورَ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَّاسْمَعُواْ قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَأُشْرِبُواْ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْعِجْلَ بِكُفْرِهِمْ قُلْ بِئْسَمَا يَأْمُرُكُمْ بِهِ إِيمَانُكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| أخذنا - We took| ميثاقكم - your covenant| ورفعنا - and We raised| فوقكم - over you| الطور - the mount,| خذوا - "Hold| ما - what| آتيناكم - We gave you,| بقوة - with firmness| واسمعوا - and listen."| قالوا - They said,| سمعنا - "We heard| وعصينا - and we disobeyed."| وأشربوا - And they were made to drink| في - in| قلوبهم - their hearts| العجل - (love of) the calf| بكفرهم - because of their disbelief.| قل - Say,| بئسما - "Evil (is) that| يأمركم - orders you (to do) it| به - with| إيمانكم - your faith,| إن - if| كنتم - you are| مؤمنين - believers."| | ||||||
| 3 [7:145] | Wakatabna lahu fee al-alwahimin kulli shay-in mawAAithatan watafseelanlikulli shay-in fakhuthha biquwwatin wa/mur qawmakaya/khuthoo bi-ahsaniha saoreekum daraalfasiqeena | وكتبنا له في الألواح من كل شيء موعظة وتفصيلا لكل شيء فخذها بقوة وأمر قومك يأخذوا بأحسنها سأريكم دار الفاسقين وَكَتَبْنَا لَهُ فِي الْأَلْوَاحِ مِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مَّوْعِظَةً وَتَفْصِيلاً لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَخُذْهَا بِقُوَّةٍ وَأْمُرْ قَوْمَكَ يَأْخُذُواْ بِأَحْسَنِهَا سَأُوْرِيكُمْ دَارَ الْفَاسِقِينَ | |||||
| Words | |وكتبنا - And We ordained (laws)| له - for him| في - in| الألواح - the tablets -| من - of| كل - every| شيء - thing,| موعظة - an instruction| وتفصيلا - and explanation| لكل - for every| شيء - thing,| فخذها - "So take them| بقوة - with firmness| وأمر - and order| قومك - your people| يأخذوا - (to) take| بأحسنها - (the) best of it.| سأريكم - I will show you| دار - (the) home| الفاسقين - (of) the defiantly disobedient."| | ||||||
| 4 [7:171] | Wa-ith nataqna aljabalafawqahum kaannahu thullatun wathannooannahu waqiAAun bihim khuthoo ma ataynakumbiquwwatin waothkuroo ma feehi laAAallakumtattaqoona | وإذ نتقنا الجبل فوقهم كأنه ظلة وظنوا أنه واقع بهم خذوا ما آتيناكم بقوة واذكروا ما فيه لعلكم تتقون وَإِذ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّواْ أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ خُذُواْ مَا آتَيْنَاكُم بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُواْ مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وإذ - And when| نتقنا - We raised| الجبل - the mountain| فوقهم - above them| كأنه - as if it was| ظلة - a canopy| وظنوا - and they thought| أنه - that it| واقع - (would) fall| بهم - upon them,| خذوا - (We said), "Take| ما - what| آتيناكم - We have given you| بقوة - with strength| واذكروا - and remember| ما - what| فيه - (is) in it| لعلكم - so that you may| تتقون - fear Allah."| | ||||||
| 5 [18:95] | Qala ma makkannee feehi rabbeekhayrun faaAAeenoonee biquwwatin ajAAal baynakum wabaynahum radman | قال ما مكني فيه ربي خير فأعينوني بقوة أجعل بينكم وبينهم ردما قَالَ مَا مَكَّنِّي فِيهِ رَبِّي خَيْرٌ فَأَعِينُونِي بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا | |||||
| Words | |قال - He said,| ما - "What| مكني - has established me| فيه - [in it]| ربي - my Lord| خير - (is) better,| فأعينوني - but assist me| بقوة - with strength,| أجعل - I will make| بينكم - between you| وبينهم - and between them| ردما - a barrier.| | ||||||
| 6 [19:12] | Ya yahya khuthialkitaba biquwwatin waataynahu alhukmasabiyyan | يا يحيى خذ الكتاب بقوة وآتيناه الحكم صبيا يَا يَحْيَى خُذِ الْكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّا | |||||
| Words | |يا - O| يحيى - "O Yahya!| خذ - Hold| الكتاب - the Scripture| بقوة - with strength."| وآتيناه - And We gave him| الحكم - [the] wisdom| صبيا - (when he was) a child| | ||||||
