| 1 [2:120] | Walan tarda AAanka alyahoodu walaalnnasara hatta tattabiAAamillatahum qul inna huda Allahi huwa alhudawala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda allathee jaakamina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi min waliyyin walanaseerin |  ولن ترضى عنك اليهود ولا النصارى حتى تتبع ملتهم قل إن هدى الله هو الهدى ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعد الذي جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا نصيروَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ | |||||
| Words | |ولن - And never| ترضى - will be pleased| عنك - with you| اليهود - the Jews| ولا - and [not]| النصارى - the Christians| حتى - until| تتبع - you follow| ملتهم - their religion.| قل - Say,| إن - "Indeed,| هدى - (the) Guidance| الله - (of) Allah,| هو - it| الهدى - (is) the Guidance."| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you follow| أهواءهم - their desires| بعد - after| الذي - what| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| ما - not| لك - for you| من - from| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| نصير - any helper.| | ||||||
| 2 [2:145] | Wala-in atayta allatheena ootooalkitaba bikulli ayatin ma tabiAAooqiblataka wama anta bitabiAAin qiblatahum wamabaAAduhum bitabiAAin qiblata baAAdinwala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum min baAAdi ma jaakamina alAAilmi innaka ithan lamina alththalimeena | ولئن أتيت الذين أوتوا الكتاب بكل آية ما تبعوا قبلتك وما أنت بتابع قبلتهم وما بعضهم بتابع قبلة بعض ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم من بعد ما جاءك من العلم إنك إذا لمن الظالمين وَلَئِنْ أَتَيْتَ الَّذِينَ أُوْتُواْ الْكِتَابَ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مَّا تَبِعُواْ قِبْلَتَكَ وَمَا أَنتَ بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَتَهُمْ وَمَا بَعْضُهُم بِتَابِعٍ قِبْلَةَ بَعْضٍ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِنَّكَ إِذاً لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |ولئن - And even if| أتيت - you come| الذين - (to) those who| أوتوا - were given| الكتاب - the Book| بكل - with all| آية - (the) signs,| ما - not| تبعوا - they would follow| قبلتك - your direction of prayer,| وما - and not| أنت - (will) you (be)| بتابع - a follower| قبلتهم - (of) their direction of prayer.| وما - And not| بعضهم - some of them| بتابع - (are) followers| قبلة - (of the) direction of prayer| بعض - (of each) other.| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you followed| أهواءهم - their desires| من - from| بعد - after| ما - [what]| جاءك - came to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| إنك - indeed, you| إذا - (would) then| لمن - (be) surely among| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 3 [5:48] | Waanzalna ilayka alkitaba bialhaqqimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alkitabiwamuhayminan AAalayhi faohkum baynahum bimaanzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum AAammajaaka mina alhaqqi likullin jaAAalna minkumshirAAatan waminhajan walaw shaa AllahulajaAAalakum ommatan wahidatan walakin liyabluwakumfeema atakum faistabiqoo alkhayratiila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum feehi takhtalifoona | وأنزلنا إليك الكتاب بالحق مصدقا لما بين يديه من الكتاب ومهيمنا عليه فاحكم بينهم بما أنزل الله ولا تتبع أهواءهم عما جاءك من الحق لكل جعلنا منكم شرعة ومنهاجا ولو شاء الله لجعلكم أمة واحدة ولكن ليبلوكم في ما آتاكم فاستبقوا الخيرات إلى الله مرجعكم جميعا فينبئكم بما كنتم فيه تختلفون وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ فَاحْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَـكِن لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَآ آتَاكُم فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ إِلَى اللهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأنزلنا - And We revealed| إليك - to you| الكتاب - the Book| بالحق - in [the] truth,| مصدقا - confirming| لما - what| بين - (was) before| يديه - his hands| من - of| الكتاب - the Book| ومهيمنا - and a guardian| عليه - over it.| فاحكم - So judge| بينهم - between them| بما - by what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah| ولا - and (do) not| تتبع - follow| أهواءهم - their vain desires| عما - when| جاءك - has come to you| من - of| الحق - the truth.| لكل - For each| جعلنا - We have made| منكم - for you| شرعة - a law| ومنهاجا - and a clear way.| ولو - And if| شاء - (had) willed| الله - Allah| لجعلكم - He (would have) made you| أمة - a community,| واحدة - one,| ولكن - [and] but| ليبلوكم - to test you| في - in| ما - what| آتاكم - He (has) given you,| فاستبقوا - so race| الخيرات - (to) the good.| إلى - To| الله - Allah| مرجعكم - you will return,| جميعا - all,| فينبئكم - then He will inform you| بما - of what| كنتم - you were| فيه - concerning it| تختلفون - differing.| | ||||||
| 4 [5:49] | Waani ohkum baynahum bimaanzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum waihtharhuman yaftinooka AAan baAAdi ma anzala Allahuilayka fa-in tawallaw faiAAlam annama yureedu Allahuan yuseebahum bibaAAdi thunoobihim wa-innakatheeran mina alnnasi lafasiqoona | وأن احكم بينهم بما أنزل الله ولا تتبع أهواءهم واحذرهم أن يفتنوك عن بعض ما أنزل الله إليك فإن تولوا فاعلم أنما يريد الله أن يصيبهم ببعض ذنوبهم وإن كثيرا من الناس لفاسقون وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اللّهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَن يَفْتِنُوكَ عَن بَعْضِ مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ إِلَيْكَ فَإِن تَوَلَّوْاْ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللّهُ أَن يُصِيبَهُم بِبَعْضِ ذُنُوبِهِمْ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ لَفَاسِقُونَ | |||||
| Words | |وأن - And that| احكم - you judge| بينهم - between them| بما - by what| أنزل - (has) revealed| الله - Allah| ولا - and (do) not| تتبع - follow| أهواءهم - their vain desires| واحذرهم - and beware of them| أن - lest| يفتنوك - they tempt you away| عن - from| بعض - some| ما - (of) what| أنزل - has revealed| الله - Allah| إليك - to you.| فإن - And if| تولوا - they turn away| فاعلم - then know that| أنما - only| يريد - intends| الله - Allah| أن - to| يصيبهم - afflict them| ببعض - for some| ذنوبهم - (of) their sins.| وإن - And indeed,| كثيرا - many| من - of| الناس - the people| لفاسقون - (are) defiantly disobedient.| | ||||||
| 5 [13:37] | Wakathalika anzalnahu hukmanAAarabiyyan wala-ini ittabaAAta ahwaahum baAAda majaaka mina alAAilmi ma laka mina Allahi minwaliyyin wala waqin | وكذلك أنزلناه حكما عربيا ولئن اتبعت أهواءهم بعدما جاءك من العلم ما لك من الله من ولي ولا واق وَكَذَلِكَ أَنزَلْنَاهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّا وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ وَاقٍ | |||||
| Words | |وكذلك - And thus| أنزلناه - We have revealed it| حكما - (to be) a judgment of authority| عربيا - (in) Arabic.| ولئن - And if| اتبعت - you follow| أهواءهم - their desires| بعدما - after what| جاءك - came to you| من - of| العلم - the knowledge,| ما - not| لك - for you| من - against| الله - Allah| من - any| ولي - protector| ولا - and not| واق - defender.| | ||||||
| 6 [23:71] | Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahumlafasadati alssamawatu waal-arduwaman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAanthikrihim muAAridoona | ولو اتبع الحق أهواءهم لفسدت السماوات والأرض ومن فيهن بل أتيناهم بذكرهم فهم عن ذكرهم معرضون وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولو - But if| اتبع - (had) followed| الحق - the truth| أهواءهم - their desires,| لفسدت - surely (would) have been corrupted| السماوات - the heavens| والأرض - and the earth| ومن - and whoever| فيهن - (is) therein.| بل - Nay,| أتيناهم - We have brought them| بذكرهم - their reminder,| فهم - but they,| عن - from| ذكرهم - their reminder,| معرضون - (are) turning away.| | ||||||
| 7 [28:50] | Fa-in lam yastajeeboo laka faiAAlamannama yattabiAAoona ahwaahum waman adallumimmani ittabaAAa hawahu bighayri hudan mina Allahiinna Allaha la yahdee alqawma alththalimeena | فإن لم يستجيبوا لك فاعلم أنما يتبعون أهواءهم ومن أضل ممن اتبع هواه بغير هدى من الله إن الله لا يهدي القوم الظالمين فَإِن لَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكَ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِّنَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ | |||||
| Words | |فإن - But if| لم - not| يستجيبوا - they respond| لك - to you,| فاعلم - then know| أنما - that only| يتبعون - they follow| أهواءهم - their desires.| ومن - And who| أضل - (is) more astray| ممن - than (one) who| اتبع - follows| هواه - his own desire| بغير - without| هدى - guidance| من - from| الله - Allah?| إن - Indeed,| الله - Allah| لا - (does) not| يهدي - guide| القوم - the people -| الظالمين - the wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 8 [30:29] | Bali ittabaAAa allatheena thalamooahwaahum bighayri AAilmin faman yahdee man adallaAllahu wama lahum min nasireena | بل اتبع الذين ظلموا أهواءهم بغير علم فمن يهدي من أضل الله وما لهم من ناصرين بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَهْوَاءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَمَن يَهْدِي مَنْ أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّاصِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |بل - Nay,| اتبع - follow| الذين - those who| ظلموا - do wrong,| أهواءهم - their desires,| بغير - without| علم - knowledge.| فمن - Then who| يهدي - (can) guide| من - (one) whom| أضل - Allah has let go astray?| الله - Allah has let go astray?| وما - And not| لهم - for them| من - any| ناصرين - helpers.| | ||||||
| 9 [42:15] | Falithalika faodAAu waistaqimkama omirta wala tattabiAA ahwaahum waqul amantubima anzala Allahu min kitabin waomirtuli-aAAdila baynakum Allahu rabbuna warabbukum lanaaAAmaluna walakum aAAmalukum la hujjatabaynana wabaynakumu Allahu yajmaAAu baynanawa-ilayhi almaseeru | فلذلك فادع واستقم كما أمرت ولا تتبع أهواءهم وقل آمنت بما أنزل الله من كتاب وأمرت لأعدل بينكم الله ربنا وربكم لنا أعمالنا ولكم أعمالكم لا حجة بيننا وبينكم الله يجمع بيننا وإليه المصير فَلِذَلِكَ فَادْعُ وَاسْتَقِمْ كَمَا أُمِرْتَ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَقُلْ آمَنتُ بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِن كِتَابٍ وَأُمِرْتُ لِأَعْدِلَ بَيْنَكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ لَا حُجَّةَ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمُ اللَّهُ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيرُ | |||||
| Words | |فلذلك - So to that| فادع - then invite,| واستقم - and stand firm| كما - as| أمرت - you are commanded| ولا - and (do) not| تتبع - follow| أهواءهم - their desires,| وقل - but say,| آمنت - "I believe| بما - in what| أنزل - Allah has sent down| الله - Allah has sent down| من - of| كتاب - (the) Book,| وأمرت - and I am commanded| لأعدل - that I do justice| بينكم - between you.| الله - Allah| ربنا - (is) our Lord| وربكم - and your Lord.| لنا - For us| أعمالنا - our deeds| ولكم - and for you| أعمالكم - your deeds.| لا - (There is) no| حجة - argument| بيننا - between us| وبينكم - and between you.| الله - Allah| يجمع - will assemble| بيننا - [between] us,| وإليه - and to Him| المصير - (is) the final return."| | ||||||
| 10 [47:14] | Afaman kana AAala bayyinatinmin rabbihi kaman zuyyina lahu soo-o AAamalihi waittabaAAooahwaahum | أفمن كان على بينة من ربه كمن زين له سوء عمله واتبعوا أهواءهم أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ | |||||
| Words | |أفمن - Then is (he) who| كان - is| على - on| بينة - a clear proof| من - from| ربه - his Lord| كمن - like (he) who,| زين - is made attractive| له - to him| سوء - (the) evil| عمله - (of) his deeds| واتبعوا - while they follow| أهواءهم - their desires.| | ||||||
| 11 [47:16] | Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka hattaitha kharajoo min AAindika qaloo lillatheenaootoo alAAilma matha qala anifan ola-ikaallatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAalaquloobihim waittabaAAoo ahwaahum | ومنهم من يستمع إليك حتى إذا خرجوا من عندك قالوا للذين أوتوا العلم ماذا قال آنفا أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم واتبعوا أهواءهم وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ | |||||
| Words | |ومنهم - And among them| من - (are some) who| يستمع - listen| إليك - to you,| حتى - until| إذا - when| خرجوا - they depart| من - from| عندك - you,| قالوا - they say| للذين - to those who| أوتوا - were given| العلم - the knowledge,| ماذا - "What| قال - (has) he said| آنفا - just now?"| أولئك - Those -| الذين - (are) the ones| طبع - Allah has set a seal| الله - Allah has set a seal| على - upon| قلوبهم - their hearts| واتبعوا - and they follow| أهواءهم - their desires.| | ||||||
| 12 [54:3] | Wakaththaboo waittabaAAoo ahwaahumwakullu amrin mustaqirrun | وكذبوا واتبعوا أهواءهم وكل أمر مستقر وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ | |||||
| Words | |وكذبوا - And they denied| واتبعوا - and followed| أهواءهم - their desires,| وكل - but (for) every| أمر - matter| مستقر - (will be a) settlement.| | ||||||
