| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[47:16] | Waminhum man yastamiAAu ilayka hattaitha kharajoo min AAindika qaloo lillatheenaootoo alAAilma matha qala anifan ola-ikaallatheena tabaAAa Allahu AAalaquloobihim waittabaAAoo ahwaahum
|  ومنهم من يستمع إليك حتى إذا خرجوا من عندك قالوا للذين أوتوا العلم ماذا قال آنفا أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم واتبعوا أهواءهم
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ حَتَّى إِذَا خَرَجُوا مِنْ عِندِكَ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مَاذَا قَالَ آنِفًا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ طَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ |

| ከእነርሱም ወዳንተ የሚያዳምጡ አልሉ፡፡ ከአንተም ዘንድ በወጡ ጊዜ ለእነዚያ ዕውቀት ለተሰጡት «አሁን ምን አለ?» ይላሉ፡፡ እነዚህ እነዚያ በልቦቻቸው ላይ አላህ ያተመባቸው ዝንባሌዎቻቸውንም የተከተሉ ናቸው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { ومنهم } أي الكفار { من يستمع إليك } في خطبة الجمعة وهم المنافقون { حتى إذا خرجوا من عندك قالوا للذين أوتوا العلم } لعلماء الصحابة منهم ابن مسعود وابن عباس استهزاء وسخرية { ماذا قال آنفا } بالمد والقصر، الساعة، أي لا نرجع إليه { أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم بالكفر { واتبعوا أهواءهم } في النفاق . |
| Llan garasen wid i k issemêasen. Sifat ff$en d s$uôek, ad inin i wid iwumi teppunefk tmusni: "d acu id inna kan, llinna"? Wigi d wid iwumi Isle$ Öebbi ulawen, teddun kan d chawi nnsen. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের মধ্যে কতক আপনার দিকে কান পাতে, অতঃপর যখন আপনার কাছ থেকে বাইরে যায়, তখন যারা শিক্ষিত, তাদেরকে বলেঃ এইমাত্র তিনি কি বললেন ? এদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং তারা নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে। |
| Literal | And from them who hears/listens to you until when they got out/emerged (left) from at you, they said to those who were given/brought the knowledge: "What (did) he say previously/from a short while ?"Those are, those who God stamped/sealed on their hearts/minds , and they followed their self attractions for desires. |
| Yusuf Ali | And among them are men who listen to thee, but in the end, when they go out from thee, they say to those who have received Knowledge, "What is it he said just then?" Such are men whose hearts Allah has sealed, and who follow their own lusts. |
| Pickthal | Among them are some who give ear unto thee (Muhammad) till, when they go forth from thy presence they say unto those who have been given knowledge: What was that he said just now? Those are they whose hearts Allah hath sealed, and they follow their own lusts. |

It is such as these whose hearts God has sealed because they [always] followed but their own lusts [I.e., the "sealing" of their hearts (for an explanation of which see note on 2:7) is a consequence of their "following but their own lusts".] - |
| Khalifa** | Some of them listen to you, then as soon as they leave they ask those who were enlightened, "What did he just say?" GOD thus seals their hearts and, consequently, they follow only their opinions. |
