| 1 [2:96] | Walatajidannahum ahrasa alnnasiAAala hayatin wamina allatheenaashrakoo yawaddu ahaduhum law yuAAammaru alfa sanatin wamahuwa bimuzahzihihi mina alAAathabi anyuAAammara waAllahu baseerun bimayaAAmaloona |  ولتجدنهم أحرص الناس على حياة ومن الذين أشركوا يود أحدهم لو يعمر ألف سنة وما هو بمزحزحه من العذاب أن يعمر والله بصير بما يعملونوَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَنْ يُّعَمَّرَ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولتجدنهم - And surely you will find them| أحرص - (the) most greedy| الناس - (of) [the] mankind| على - for| حياة - life,| ومن - and (greedier) than| الذين - those who| أشركوا - associate[d] partners (with Allah).| يود - Loves| أحدهم - (each) one of them| لو - if| يعمر - he could be granted a life| ألف - (of) a thousand| سنة - year(s).| وما - But not| هو - it| بمزحزحه - (will) remove him| من - from| العذاب - the punishment| أن - that| يعمر - he should be granted life.| والله - And Allah| بصير - (is) All-Seer| بما - of what| يعملون - they do.| | ||||||
| 2 [8:63] | Waallafa bayna quloobihim law anfaqta mafee al-ardi jameeAAan ma allafta bayna quloobihimwalakinna Allaha allafa baynahum innahu AAazeezun hakeemun | وألف بين قلوبهم لو أنفقت ما في الأرض جميعا ما ألفت بين قلوبهم ولكن الله ألف بينهم إنه عزيز حكيم وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ لَوْ أَنفَقْتَ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعاً مَّا أَلَّفَتْ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَلَـكِنَّ اللّهَ أَلَّفَ بَيْنَهُمْ إِنَّهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |وألف - And He (has) put affection| بين - between| قلوبهم - their hearts.| لو - If| أنفقت - you (had) spent| ما - whatever| في - (is) in| الأرض - the earth| جميعا - all| ما - not| ألفت - (could) you (have) put affection| بين - between| قلوبهم - their hearts,| ولكن - but| الله - Allah| ألف - (has) put affection| بينهم - between them.| إنه - Indeed, He| عزيز - (is) All-Mighty,| حكيم - All-Wise.| | ||||||
| 3 [8:66] | Al-ana khaffafa Allahu AAankumwaAAalima anna feekum daAAfan fa-in yakun minkum mi-atun sabiratunyaghliboo mi-atayni wa-in yakun minkum alfun yaghliboo alfaynibi-ithni Allahi waAllahu maAAa alssabireena | الآن خفف الله عنكم وعلم أن فيكم ضعفا فإن يكن منكم مائة صابرة يغلبوا مائتين وإن يكن منكم ألف يغلبوا ألفين بإذن الله والله مع الصابرين الْآنَ خَفَّفَ اللّهُ عَنكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا فَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّئَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُواْ مِئَتَيْنِ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُواْ أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ | |||||
| Words | |الآن - Now| خفف - has (been) lightened| الله - (by) Allah| عنكم - for you,| وعلم - and He knows| أن - that| فيكم - in you| ضعفا - (there) is weakness.| فإن - So if| يكن - (there) are| منكم - among you| مائة - a hundred| صابرة - steadfast,| يغلبوا - they will overcome| مائتين - two hundred.| وإن - And if| يكن - (there) are| منكم - among you| ألف - a thousand,| يغلبوا - they will overcome| ألفين - two thousand| بإذن - with (the) permission| الله - (of) Allah.| والله - And Allah| مع - (is) with| الصابرين - the steadfast.| | ||||||
| 4 [29:14] | Walaqad arsalna noohan ilaqawmihi falabitha feehim alfa sanatin illa khamseena AAamanfaakhathahumu alttoofanu wahum thalimoona | ولقد أرسلنا نوحا إلى قومه فلبث فيهم ألف سنة إلا خمسين عاما فأخذهم الطوفان وهم ظالمون وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |ولقد - And verily,| أرسلنا - We sent| نوحا - Nuh| إلى - to| قومه - his people,| فلبث - and he remained| فيهم - among them| ألف - a thousand| سنة - year(s),| إلا - save| خمسين - fifty| عاما - year(s),| فأخذهم - then seized them| الطوفان - the flood,| وهم - while they| ظالمون - (were) wrongdoers.| | ||||||
| 5 [32:5] | Yudabbiru al-amra mina alssama-iila al-ardi thumma yaAAruju ilayhi fee yawmin kanamiqdaruhu alfa sanatin mimma taAAuddoona | يدبر الأمر من السماء إلى الأرض ثم يعرج إليه في يوم كان مقداره ألف سنة مما تعدون يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ | |||||

| 6 [37:147] | Waarsalnahu ila mi-ati alfinaw yazeedoona | وأرسلناه إلى مائة ألف أو يزيدون وَأَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَى مِئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ | |||||
