| 1 [2:273] | Lilfuqara-i allatheena ohsiroofee sabeeli Allahi la yastateeAAoona darbanfee al-ardi yahsabuhumu aljahilu aghniyaamina alttaAAaffufi taAArifuhum biseemahum layas-aloona alnnasa ilhafan wamatunfiqoo min khayrin fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleemun |  للفقراء الذين أحصروا في سبيل الله لا يستطيعون ضربا في الأرض يحسبهم الجاهل أغنياء من التعفف تعرفهم بسيماهم لا يسألون الناس إلحافا وما تنفقوا من خير فإن الله به عليملِلْفُقَرَاءِ الَّذِينَ أُحصِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ضَرْبًا فِي الأَرْضِ يَحْسَبُهُمُ الْجَاهِلُ أَغْنِيَاءَ مِنَ التَّعَفُّفِ تَعْرِفُهُم بِسِيمَاهُمْ لاَ يَسْأَلُونَ النَّاسَ إِلْحَافًا وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ | |||||
| Words | |للفقراء - For the poor,| الذين - those who| أحصروا - are wrapped up| في - in| سبيل - (the) way| الله - (of) Allah,| لا - not| يستطيعون - they are able| ضربا - (to) move about| في - in| الأرض - the earth.| يحسبهم - Think (about) them,| الجاهل - the ignorant one,| أغنياء - (that they are) self-sufficient| من - (because) of| التعفف - (their) restraint,| تعرفهم - you recognize them| بسيماهم - by their mark.| لا - Not| يسألون - (do) they ask| الناس - the people| إلحافا - with importunity.| وما - And whatever| تنفقوا - you spend| من - of| خير - good,| فإن - then indeed,| الله - Allah| به - of it| عليم - (is) All-Knower.| | ||||||
| 2 [3:181] | Laqad samiAAa Allahu qawla allatheenaqaloo inna Allaha faqeerun wanahnu aghniyaonsanaktubu ma qaloo waqatlahumu al-anbiyaabighayri haqqin wanaqoolu thooqoo AAathabaalhareeqi | لقد سمع الله قول الذين قالوا إن الله فقير ونحن أغنياء سنكتب ما قالوا وقتلهم الأنبياء بغير حق ونقول ذوقوا عذاب الحريق لَّقَدْ سَمِعَ اللّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُواْ إِنَّ اللّهَ فَقِيرٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُواْ وَقَتْلَهُمُ الأَنبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ | |||||
| Words | |لقد - Certainly,| سمع - heard| الله - Allah| قول - (the) saying| الذين - (of) those who| قالوا - said,| إن - "Indeed| الله - Allah| فقير - (is) poor| ونحن - while we| أغنياء - (are) rich."| سنكتب - We will record| ما - what| قالوا - they said| وقتلهم - and their killing| الأنبياء - the Prophets| بغير - without| حق - (any) right,| ونقول - and We will say,| ذوقوا - "Taste| عذاب - (the) punishment| الحريق - (of) the Burning Fire."| | ||||||
| 3 [9:93] | Innama alssabeelu AAalaallatheena yasta/thinoonaka wahum aghniyaoradoo bi-an yakoonoo maAAa alkhawalifi watabaAAaAllahu AAala quloobihim fahum la yaAAlamoona | إنما السبيل على الذين يستأذنونك وهم أغنياء رضوا بأن يكونوا مع الخوالف وطبع الله على قلوبهم فهم لا يعلمون إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَاءُ رَضُواْ بِأَن يَكُونُواْ مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ اللّهُ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ | |||||
| Words | |إنما - Only| السبيل - the way (blame)| على - (is) on| الذين - those who| يستأذنونك - ask your permission| وهم - while they| أغنياء - (are) rich.| رضوا - They (are) satisfied| بأن - to| يكونوا - be| مع - with| الخوالف - those who stay behind,| وطبع - and Allah sealed| الله - and Allah sealed| على - [on]| قلوبهم - their hearts,| فهم - so they| لا - (do) not| يعلمون - know.| | ||||||
