بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

1 [9:54] | Wama manaAAahum an tuqbala minhumnafaqatuhum illa annahum kafaroo biAllahiwabirasoolihi wala ya/toona alssalatailla wahum kusala wala yunfiqoona illawahum karihoona
| وما منعهم أن تقبل منهم نفقاتهم إلا أنهم كفروا بالله وبرسوله ولا يأتون الصلاة إلا وهم كسالى ولا ينفقون إلا وهم كارهون وَمَا مَنَعَهُمْ أَن تُقْبَلَ مِنْهُمْ نَفَقَاتُهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُواْ بِاللّهِ وَبِرَسُولِهِ وَلاَ يَأْتُونَ الصَّلاَةَ إِلاَّ وَهُمْ كُسَالَى وَلاَ يُنفِقُونَ إِلاَّ وَهُمْ كَارِهُونَ |
Words | |وما - And not| منعهم - prevents them| أن - that| تقبل - is accepted| منهم - from them| نفقاتهم - their contributions| إلا - except| أنهم - that they| كفروا - disbelieve| بالله - in Allah| وبرسوله - and in His Messenger,| ولا - and not| يأتون - they come| الصلاة - (to) the prayer| إلا - except| وهم - while they| كسالى - (are) lazy,| ولا - and not| ينفقون - they spend| إلا - except| وهم - while they| كارهون - (are) unwilling.| |

| ልግስናዎቻቸውን ከነሱ ተቀባይ የሚያገኙ ከመኾን እነሱ በአላህና በመልክተኛው የካዱ፣ ሶላትንም እነሱ ታካቾች ኾነው በስተቀር የማይሰግዱ፣ እነሱም ጠይዎች ኾነው በስተቀር የማይሰጡ መኾናቸው እንጂ ሌላ አልከለከላቸውም፡፡ |
آل الجلالين | { وما منعهم أن تُقبل } بالياء والتاء { منهم نفقاتهم إلا أنهم } فاعل وأن تقبل مفعول { كفروا بالله وبرسوله ولا يأتون الصلاة إلا وهم كسالى } متثاقلون { ولا ينفقون إلا وهم كارهون } النفقة لأنهم يعدونها مغرما . |
| Ay sen ikksen a tepwaqbal ssadaqa nnsen, imi kan jehlen, s tidep, ar Öebbi akked Umazan iS, u s laâgez kan ay d ppasen ar tpéallit, s usmiglez kan ay pseddiqen. |
মুহিউদ্দীন খান | তাদের অর্থ ব্যয় কবুল না হওয়ার এছাড়া আর কোন কারণ নেই যে, তারা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি অবিশ্বাসী, তারা নামাযে আসে অলসতার সাথে ব্যয় করে সঙ্কুচিত মনে। |
Literal | And nothing prevented/prohibited them that their expenses/expenditures that (E) be accepted/received from them, except that they disbelieved by God, and with His messenger and they do not come (to) the prayers except and (while) they are lazy, and they do not spend except and (while) they are hating. |
Yusuf Ali | The only reasons why their contributions are not accepted are: that they reject Allah and His Messenger; that they come to prayer without earnestness; and that they offer contributions unwillingly. |
Pickthal | And naught preventeth that their contributions should be accepted from them save that they have disbelieved in Allah and in His messenger, and they come not to worship save as idlers, and pay not (their contribution) save reluctantly. |
Arberry | And naught prevents that their expendings should be accepted from them, but that they believe not in God and His Messenger, and perform not the prayer save lazily, and that they expend not without they are averse. |

Asad | For, only this prevents their spending from being accepted from them:" they are bent on refusing to acknowledge God and His Apostle, and never pray without reluctance ,7a and never spend [on righteous causes] without resentment. |
Khalifa** | What prevented the acceptance of their spending is that they disbelieved in GOD and His messenger, and when they observed the Contact Prayers (Salat), they observed them lazily, and when they gave to charity, they did so grudgingly. |
