| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

[80:3] | Wama yudreeka laAAallahu yazzakka
|  وما يدريك لعله يزكى
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّى |
| Words | |وما - But what| يدريك - would make you know| لعله - that he might| يزكى - purify himself,| |

| ምን ያሳውቅሃል? (ከኀጢአቶቹ) ሊጥራራ ይከጀላል፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | { وما يُدريك } يعلمك { لعله يزكى } فيه إدغام التاء في الأصل في الزاي، أي يتطهر من الذنوب بما يسمع منك. |

| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | আপনি কি জানেন, সে হয়তো পরিশুদ্ধ হত, |
| Literal | And what makes you know/informs you maybe/perhaps he, he purifies/corrects (himself). |
| Yusuf Ali | But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- |
| Pickthal | What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) |
