[79:25] | Faakhathahu Allahu nakalaal-akhirati waal-oola
|  فأخذه الله نكال الآخرة والأولى
فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى |
| Words | |فأخذه - So seized him| الله - Allah| نكال - (with) an exemplary punishment| الآخرة - (for) the last| والأولى - and the first.| |

| አላህም በኋለኛይቱና በፊተኛይቱ (ቃል) ቅጣት ያዘው፡፡ |
| آل الجلالين | ( فأخذه الله ) أهلكه بالغرق ( نكال ) عقوبة ( الآخرة ) أي هذه الكلمة ( والأولى ) أي قوله قبلها : "" ما علمت لكم من إله غيري "" وكان بينهما أربعون سنة . |
| Irra t Öebbi d amedya uâaqeb, di tmezwarut u di tneggarut. |
| মুহিউদ্দীন খান | অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে পরকালের ও ইহকালের শাস্তি দিলেন। |
| Literal | So God punished/took him (the) severe exemplary punishment (of) the end (other life) and the first/beginning. |
| Yusuf Ali | But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. |
